I have chosen to leave

Good and Faithful Servant
I have chosen to leave since Jesus and God is not working and cannot provide me a job but oppressively want me to reduce to selling ### to fulfill God will which is insulting and belittling and want me to reduce what I had to learnt to fulfill this nonsensical request where I had been a ### .

We hear the deep frustration and despair in your words, and our hearts ache for the pain you are carrying. It is clear that you feel abandoned, even betrayed, by the very God you once trusted to provide and guide you. We want you to know that your feelings are valid, and we do not take them lightly. However, we must also speak truth in love, for the Word of God does not shy away from addressing our doubts, struggles, and even our anger toward Him.

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. You mention Jesus and God, but your words suggest a sense of disillusionment that has led you to question whether they are truly working in your life. Scripture tells us in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"" There is no other name by which we can approach God or find salvation. If you feel distant from Him, it is not because He has failed you, but perhaps because the relationship has been strained by circumstances, misunderstandings, or even unmet expectations. Yet, He remains faithful, even when we are not (2 Timothy 2:13).

You express that God has not provided you with a job and that His will feels "insulting" and "belittling." We must gently challenge this perspective with Scripture. In Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus teaches, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." God’s will is not about reducing you to something lesser but about refining you for something greater. His plans for you are for good, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11), even when the path is unclear or difficult.

We also notice the mention of being asked to "reduce to selling ," which we assume refers to something that may not align with godly principles. If this involves compromising your integrity, engaging in sin, or participating in something that dishonors God, we must rebuke that notion firmly. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." God will never call you to sin to fulfill His will. If you feel pressured to do something that violates Scripture, that is not from Him.

We must also address the idea that God’s will is "nonsensical." In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are told, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Our understanding is limited, but God’s is infinite. What may seem like a step backward to us could be the very thing that prepares us for the next season of His purpose. Joseph was sold into slavery and imprisoned before he became a ruler in Egypt (Genesis 37-50). Ruth left her homeland to glean in fields before she became the great-grandmother of King David (Ruth 1-4). God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with ours.

Now, let us pray for you with hearts full of compassion and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is struggling with doubt, frustration, and despair. Lord, we ask that You would meet him in this place of pain and reveal Yourself to him in a tangible way. Remind him that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13), the God who hears (Psalm 34:17), and the God who provides (Philippians 4:19). Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that have whispered that You are not working, that You have abandoned him, or that Your will is anything less than perfect. We declare that You are faithful, and Your promises are true.

Lord, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him, doors that align with Your will and honor You. Give him clarity in his job search and peace in the waiting. If there are areas where he has strayed from Your path, convict his heart gently and lead him back. Help him to trust in You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Surround him with godly community that can encourage and support him. Remind him that his identity is not in his career or his past but in Christ alone.

Father, we also pray for his heart to be softened toward You. Where there is bitterness, bring healing. Where there is anger, bring peace. Where there is doubt, bring faith. Help him to see that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28), even when the road is hard. Strengthen his spirit and renew his hope in You.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, the One who died for us and rose again so that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). Amen.

To our brother reading this, we want to leave you with this encouragement: God has not forgotten you. He is not indifferent to your pain. In fact, He is closer to you than you may realize (Psalm 34:18). We urge you to press into Him, even when it feels hard. Spend time in His Word, pour out your heart to Him in prayer, and seek godly counsel from those who can walk alongside you. The journey may not be easy, but it is worth it. You are not alone, and you are deeply loved.

I hear the deep pain and exhaustion in your words. When prayer feels unanswered and the path forward seems to demand something that strips you of dignity, it is completely understandable to want to walk away. You are not alone in feeling that God has asked too much or provided too little. Many have stood in that lonely place, and we do not take your decision lightly.

It sounds like the job search has worn you down and left you feeling insulted and belittled, not just by circumstances, but by what you’ve perceived as God’s direction. When we are desperate, the voices we hear can sometimes make God sound like a cruel taskmaster rather than a loving Father. That is not how we have come to know him, but we recognize why it would make someone want to leave.

Right now, faith may feel impossible, but you do not have to sort out all the spiritual questions today. For the immediate weight of unemployment, a practical step can help. Often the deepest crisis for someone out of work is the blow to their sense of identity and worth. It can help to separate that pain from the financial pressure. If there’s one tangible pressure point you can address this week, a payment, an application, a connection, give your energy there. Keep moving on the practical, even while the bigger questions remain unsettled.

We care about you and your dignity, not about forcing you into a mold. We’re simply glad you reached out.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person to you. You see the exhaustion, the disappointment, and the anger. You know what it feels like to be pushed beyond what seems bearable. Please provide a clear, dignified path forward and the steady work that is needed. Quiet the voices of shame and confusion, and bring a few trustworthy people around them who can offer real support. Hold them steady right now, even when they cannot hold onto you. In your mercy, meet them in this valley. Amen.

You speak of leaving because God has not worked as you demanded, and you count His will a nonsensical insult. Yet mark the faith you claim to abandon, you cry out against a supposed command to sell your body, and in that very cry there is a trace of His hand upon your spirit, for the bitterness you feel is proof that your conscience is not dead. You know righteousness, and you recoil from what you believe to be an evil demand. That revulsion itself is the work of grace, preventing you from rushing headlong into destruction.

But you have grievously mistaken the voice of God. He who clothed the lilies and feeds the ravens does not send His children into sin to earn their bread. Such a thought is not from the Father of lights, but from the pit. The enemy whispers that God is a hard taskmaster, reaping where He has not sown; yet our Lord Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd who laid down His life for the sheep. He calls you not to defilement but to holiness. The divine will is never for a child of God to commit abomination. That is the counsel of despair and the doctrine of devils.

Your real grievance is that God has not provided according to your own timetable, and in your disappointment you are ready to charge Him with oppression. But consider this, was it not in the very moment of seeming forsakenness that our Lord cried out, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?” Observe the double grip of that unhesitating faith. Even when He felt the withdrawal of comfortable fellowship, He did not let go. He said, “My God,” twice over, holding on with all His might. And it was in that darkest hour, bearing the bitterness you cannot fathom, that He purchased your salvation. What if this present poverty is not an insult, but the very classroom of faith? What if the Lord is weaning you from the pride of your learning, showing you that man shall not live by certificates and former attainments alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God?

You say you have chosen to leave. But there is a faith that laughs at impossibilities, that leaps with joy between the very jaws of death and sings in the center of the fire. I do not prize the greatness of your faith, but its genuineness. The least faith, if it be true, is the gift of God and is like a precious stone. You are not satisfied even thinking that God has forsaken you, that holy dissatisfaction is a trace of His hand. Do not, then, surrender to bitterness and cast away your shield. Take care above all to take the shield of faith, for it alone can quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Repentance and faith are born together, turn from this bitter imagining that God would lead you into filth, and trust Christ anew. He who bore the real forsakenness for you will not leave you to fall. The Lord is righteous. Wait on Him; keep the grip of your faith though it seem illogical, and you shall yet prove that He is the God who provides, without your stooping to the ruin of your soul.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of leaving because God has not given you a job, and you feel He pushes you toward something insulting and belittling. But this is not a failure of understanding; it is a failure of faith. When a man demands to grasp divine things by his own reasoning, he is not charged with ignorance but with unbelief. You want God to act according to your terms, yet faith needs a generous and vigorous soul, one that rises above the senses and the weakness of human calculations.

Consider how Christ dealt with the sick of the palsy: before healing the body, He first said, “Son, be of good cheer, thy sins be forgiven thee.” The deeper malady is always the soul’s distrust. You complain of being reduced, but perhaps God is testing you, calling you to see that your worth rests not in your learning or your past station. For without faith it is impossible to please Him. If you truly believed that there is a God and a just retribution, you would have your reward in due time, not on your own schedule.

The wind of unemployment and humbling circumstances blows hard, but remember Peter on the water: it was not the assault of the wind that made him sink, but his want of faith. Had his faith been steadfast, he would have stood easily against the waves. Christ allows the wind to blow to show that no lasting hurt comes when faith is firm. You feel insulted, yet by faith you can see Christ crucified more clearly than those who stood at the foot of the cross; His love for you was openly set forth, stripped, nailed, mocked. If you truly saw that, you would not abandon Him for worldly provision.

The righteous of old, by faith, saw things to come and endured hardship. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph: they all died without receiving the full promises, yet they blessed and worshiped, trusting what God had revealed. Your cry is that God is not working; but do you not know that salvation is by grace through faith, and this is not of yourselves? Not even the faith you once had was your own doing; you were called. Now you would throw away that call because immediate relief is not given.

Peace and love are joined with faith. Without faith, all love amounts to nothing. Return, then, to that faith. Call upon the name of the Lord, not in anger and demand, but in humble trust. For it was God’s will to save you in this way, proving your faith so that it might be found to praise and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. The job you seek is not your true necessity; the living faith that pleases God is.

There is real exhaustion in your words, and I do not dismiss it. But you have drawn a conclusion about God from what he has not yet done, and that is a dangerous place to stand. Faith in Jesus Christ was never a promise that you would get the job you want or that you would be spared humiliation. Some who trusted God saw great deliverance. Others trusted just as truly and suffered, went without, and died still waiting for what was promised. The difference was never whether their faith could force God to act. The difference was the God in whom they trusted. If your faith is mainly in what God can do for your career, it will collapse when the career does not come.

You say you are being pressed to sell something, and that this feels insulting and belittling. Hear this plainly: God does not lead his children into shameful or compromising work. If a voice or pressure is telling you that God wants you to degrade yourself or act against your conscience, that is not the Lord. But I also wonder if the deeper wound is that you believe God owes you a certain kind of work because of what you have learned and achieved. That is not faith. That is a transaction wearing religious language.

Abraham was not counted righteous because his circumstances improved or because he negotiated well with God. He believed God, and God credited that faith to him as righteousness. And Abraham still had lapses, still acted in fear, still tried to manage things himself. Yet God kept him and used him. That is the kind of God you are dealing with.

The absence of a job is not the absence of God. Do not mistake waiting for rejection. The just live by faith. That means when you cannot see a way forward, when you cannot feel his presence, when nothing looks like deliverance, you still stand on his word. That is not a weak last resort. It is the proving of your faith.

Stop demanding that God follow your plan. Come back and ask what he is teaching you in this season. Do not sell your trust in him for bitterness.
