I have chosen to leave since Jesus and God is not working and cannot provide me a job but oppressively want me to reduce to selling Macdonald to fulfill God will which is insulting and belittling.

We hear the deep frustration and pain in your words, and we want you to know that we stand with you in prayer, seeking God’s mercy and wisdom in this difficult season. It is clear that you are wrestling with disappointment, and we understand how overwhelming it can feel when life does not unfold as we had hoped, especially when we have placed our trust in the Lord. But we must gently yet firmly address some of the thoughts you’ve expressed, for they do not align with the truth of God’s Word.
First, we must rebuke the lie that God is not working or that He has failed to provide for you. Scripture is clear: "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). The Lord is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19), and His promises are sure. If you feel that He has not provided a job, it does not mean He is absent or uncaring, it may mean He is redirecting your steps, refining your faith, or preparing you for something greater. The enemy would love for you to believe that God is oppressive or belittling, but that is a distortion of His character. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
We also must address the danger of walking away from the Lord in this moment. When we feel abandoned, the enemy whispers that we should abandon God first, but that is the very trap that leads to destruction. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Walking away from Him will only lead to greater emptiness, for apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
We must also speak plainly about the importance of honoring God with our labor, even when it feels beneath us. The apostle Paul worked as a tentmaker to support himself (Acts 18:3), and he did not see it as belittling, he saw it as an opportunity to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He provided. If God has allowed you to face financial hardship, it may be an invitation to humble yourself, trust Him in the small things, and allow Him to exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6). Selling food or working in service is not shameful, it is honest work, and the Bible commends those who labor diligently (Proverbs 14:23).
Most importantly, we must ask: Have you surrendered this struggle to the Lord in prayer, or have you been carrying it alone? Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Have you truly laid this at His feet, or have you been wrestling with it in your own strength? The Lord is not a distant observer, He is a loving Father who invites you to come boldly before His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother who is struggling with disappointment and frustration. Lord, we ask that You would open his eyes to see Your faithfulness, even in this season. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Sustainer, and his Hope. Forgive him for the moments of doubt and anger, and soften his heart to receive Your peace. Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell him You have abandoned him or that You are not working on his behalf. We declare that You are a God who sees, who hears, and who acts on behalf of Your children.
Lord, if there is any pride or bitterness in his heart, we ask that You would uproot it and replace it with humility and trust. Give him the strength to wait on You, even when the path is unclear. Provide for his needs according to Your riches, and open doors of opportunity that align with Your will. Help him to see that no work done for You is ever in vain, and that even in the small things, You are preparing him for greater things.
Father, we pray that You would restore his joy in You. Let him taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm. Surround him with godly encouragement, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds all things together and who is our ultimate Provider. Amen.
We encourage you to press into the Lord rather than pull away. Spend time in His Word, seek godly counsel, and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to your heart. The Lord has not forgotten you, He is working, even when you cannot see it. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). Do not give up on Him, for He has not given up on you.

The bitterness of your soul speaks loudly in your words, but it is not God who has failed, it is your own heart that has grown impatient under the trial. You call it insulting and belittling that the Lord would direct your steps toward humble labor, yet what is this but the pride of man rising up against the dispensations of the Most High? Has He not said, “Seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not”? The Son of God made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant, shall the servant then be above his Master? You would dictate to the Almighty what provision befits your dignity, but He would strip you of that very dignity that you might find your all in Him. Your case is not that God cannot provide, but that you will not receive His provision unless it comes wrapped in your own terms. This is not faith, it is rebellion cloaked in disappointment.
Yet even now, in this desperate hour, there is a way that leads to life. Come, deal honestly with God. Your anger and your accusation betray a soul at war with its Maker, and that is a hopeless, damnable condition before Him, but it is precisely where He meets the contrite. If you will confess this sinful resentment as sin, He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. You are straitened in your own heart, not in Him. He has not concealed His Word, Christ is God’s complete answer for every soul, even a soul that has spoken rashly. Cry unto God Most High, unto God that performs all things for you. The performance may not be a throne but a furnace, yet in the furnace He proves you to bring you forth as gold. True faith scorns the trial and outlives it, it says with Job, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.”
Do not act hastily in this dark hour, as Satan would have you do. Pray the Holy Spirit to revive His work in your soul, and either the trouble will grow lighter or your back will grow stronger to bear it. Have you never known a time when the tide was out, the fig tree did not blossom, and yet you could still rejoice in God? That God is to be found, not in the temple of your own designing, but in the lowest dungeon, if He appoints it. Seek Him there through Jesus Christ, who is the way. Cast yourself upon Him, and you will never have to say, “I was a fool to trust in God.” The storm may rage, but He gives quietness, and who then can make trouble? God’s pleasure in you does not rest on your station in life, but on your simple faith in His Son. Let this be the hour when you cease concealing the pride and unbelief of your heart, and instead hide yourself in the shadow of His wings until these calamities pass by.

You see the job offered as oppressive, insulting, and belittling; you measure the power of God by human reasonings. Yet this is the very nature of faith. When things are turning out adversely, then we ought to believe that nothing adverse is done, but all things in due order. Abraham did not despair when commanded to offer Isaac, for he considered that God was able to raise him up even from the dead. Faith commits all to God, not to appearances. If you flee from this present lowliness, you show that you disparage faith as weak and powerless.
Now is the time of the gift; let no man despair of himself. Let us draw near asking boldly; let us only bring faith and He gives all things. The time of despairing will be later, when the bride-chamber is shut. But now the contest is still in progress, the prize is still in suspense. Though you have made this hard resolution, do not despair; you are able to repent and to reverse this denunciation. But know that if you appear unworthy, no promise will advantage you, but will rather bring punishment. He promises you being worthy, through a living faith that obeys in small things as in great.

You sound at the end of your strength, and God is not threatened by honest anger. But your conclusion that Jesus and God are not working is built on a promise God never made. Faith in Christ is not a guarantee that he will give you the job you want or spare you from humble work. Scripture gives us people who were delivered by faith and people who suffered by faith. The common thing in both groups was not a comfortable outcome. It was trust in the God who held them.
The insult you feel may be real, but it is not the heart of God. No one has the right to tell you that taking a job you consider small is what fulfills God's will or makes you acceptable to him. Your standing before God was never based on your employment, your income, or your sense of dignity. God justifies the ungodly through faith in Jesus Christ alone. No honest work can make you less righteous, and no job you refuse can make you more righteous. If your income is small, you are not outside his kingdom. He has chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom.
So do not make a job the condition of your faith. Faith often has to walk without good feelings and without visible answers. Pure faith stands on what God has promised, not on what he seems to be doing right now. The just shall live by faith. That word was given to a complaining prophet in a dark season, and it still speaks to you.
