I have been with my boyfriend for ### years and we own a home together. He has had a very rough life with both his mom and dad walking out on him as a child and had spent time in foster care. He struggles with trust and what love is. I have done everything I can to give him unconditional love, but he is so confused and scared that he is unable to commit or accept it.
He is hurting and I am hurting. He has now broken up with me and I am losing him and my home. I would like prayer for God to open his heart... to help him understand that I love him so much... and that he is safe with me... and to choose to trust me and work through our breakup as opposed to running away. He is the one I want, and I want him to be happy and experience the love I have for him without it feeling like anxiety and fear. I do not want to lose him or our home.
