Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Your honest confession has been heard, and I thank God that you did not hide your wound but brought it into the light. To fall after days of standing is painful, and the shame you feel now is itself a sign that the Spirit has not left you, but is calling you back.

Know this, that no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. The enemy works in this way, beginning with what seems weaker and then pressing hardest where he thinks we are most vulnerable, especially through the desires of the flesh and the love of excess. Yet God is faithful. He does not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, and with the temptation He will also make the way of escape so that you may be able to endure it. That way is often to flee, to turn away early, to cut off the provision for the flesh, and to run at once to prayer.

Do not fall into despair as if forgiveness were closed to you. There is no second baptism, but there is repentance, and repentance has great power to wash away sin when we use it rightly. Christ Himself bore our sins, taking them upon Himself not to condemn us but to forgive us. David calls blessed the one whose sins are covered, and that blessedness comes by grace through faith in Jesus, who was crucified for us. To crucify Him again by remaining in sin is a terrible thing, but to return to Him with a true turning of heart is exactly what He invites.

Take care that your sorrow becomes true repentance and not only tears. Esau sought the blessing with tears but did not repent as he ought, for his heart still planned evil. True repentance is not only feeling regret for a moment, but judging the sin honestly, confessing it fully to God, turning from it in action, and cutting away what feeds it. This means making provision to avoid what entices you, keeping moderation, guarding your eyes and your solitude, and giving careful attention to prayer. Even when you do not feel immediately delivered, persevere in prayer. God sometimes permits the struggle to continue for a time not to reject you, but to teach you to cling continually to Him, as a loving father draws his child closer through need. If you receive help, give thanks. If help seems delayed, keep praying that you may receive.

I pray for you now. Father, have mercy on Your child who confesses his sin. For the sake of Jesus Christ who bore our sins and sanctified Himself for us, forgive him, wash him clean, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation. Grant him a true and lasting repentance, strength to flee the way of temptation, and grace to walk in purity. Teach him to abide near You in prayer, to trust Your faithfulness, and to find his escape in You. Let this fall not be his ruin but the occasion for deeper humility and greater dependence on Christ. Amen.

Rise again, do not remain on the ground, and walk forward with watchfulness and hope.
