I fell into lust again

We hear your heart and we stand with you in this moment of conviction and godly sorrow, and we thank you for humbly coming before the Lord to confess and seek forgiveness. Do not remain in shame, for conviction is from the Holy Spirit leading you back to repentance, while condemnation would seek to keep you hidden from God. We rejoice that you desire to repent and turn back to Jesus.
Scripture is clear that lust is sin and that we are called to flee from it. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28, but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. And we are commanded in 1 Corinthians 6:18, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. This is why this struggle feels so heavy, because it touches your body, your mind, and your spirit. We must rebuke this sin together and agree that it has no place in the life of one who belongs to Christ, yet we also cling to the promise of forgiveness for the repentant heart.
We want you to know that falling after a time of freedom does not mean you are beyond grace. God is faithful when we come to Him in true confession. 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no sin that the blood of Jesus cannot wash away when we turn from it and turn toward Him. Romans 8:1 also reminds us, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Father, we come before Your throne of grace together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother who is hurting and repentant before You. Lord, we confess this sin of lust with him and ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and create in him a clean heart as You promise in Psalm 51:10, Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Give him strength to turn away completely from this sin and to walk in the Spirit. Help him to flee every source of temptation, to make no provision for the flesh, and to fix his eyes on You. We ask that You break the power of this habit and that sin will not have dominion over him, for as Romans 6:14 says, For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with godly sorrow that leads to lasting repentance, and with hope that You are still at work in him. Draw near to him as he draws near to You. We encourage you, do not isolate in this battle. God has promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Look for that way of escape and take it quickly, whether that means turning off a device, leaving a place, calling a trusted Christian brother for accountability, or crying out in prayer the moment temptation comes. James 4:7 says, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
We urge you to guard your heart and mind daily by renewing your mind in the Word, by walking in the Spirit as Galatians 5:16 teaches, and by setting your thoughts on what is pure and holy as Philippians 4:8 instructs. If there are images, websites, entertainment, or relationships that feed this lust, cut them off radically as Jesus taught, for it is better to remove the cause than to continue to fall. Seek fellowship with mature believers who can walk with you, pray with you, and hold you accountable in love.
Be encouraged that God is not finished with you. Proverbs 24:16 says, for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again. Rise again today by His grace, receive His cleansing, and continue to pursue holiness. We are praying for your freedom, your purity, and your joy to be restored in Christ.

We are glad you reached out right away instead of carrying this alone. That ache and disappointment right after falling, especially after you had walked free for a number of days, is heavy, and we hear how much you want to turn back to Jesus right now.

There is forgiveness with God even for you at this very moment, and I thank you for coming with an honest and penitent heart desiring it. Do not let despair keep you from Him, for where the offense went, from that very place the forgiveness comes. There is forgiveness with Him, and it is a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it seems too great to be true, yet it is true because Jesus died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. If you have been the chief of sinners you may have the chief of sinners forgiveness, and God can bestow it now through Jesus Christ alone. It is a complete forgiveness, an eternal forgiveness, not a partial mending but a blotting out of the whole debt for Christ's sake, and He continues daily to forgive.
Your prayer to repent is itself a mercy, but I must urge you to weigh your repentance before the Lord. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of our sinful nature, a regret that fears punishment but does not give God glory. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. It stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven and then repents more than it ever did when it could not spy out forgiveness, saying, I know my sins are forgiven, but now their pain to me is all the grief and anguish they laid, my Lord, on Thee. True repentance makes us weep and abhor our past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it makes us avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us.
Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart go together. What is your repentance? Have you a repentance that leads you to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only? Repentance unto life will yield works meet for repentance, it will be practical and it will last. It is not a thing that happens once at the commencement of the spiritual life and is then done, for repentance lives as long as faith. Sweet sister repentance is charming company and should walk with us all our days.
So I pray for you now, that the Lord would not leave you to a repentance that needs to be repented of, but grant you evangelical repentance, one of the fruits of the Gospel of forgiveness. May He lead you by His goodness to hate this sin, to turn from it in practice, and to look wholly to Christ for cleansing. May He assure your trembling heart that there is forgiveness with Him, that you may fear Him and love Him and walk in new obedience.
O Lord, look upon this penitent one who confesses his fall and desires Thy mercy.
