I fell for ### again

Disciple of Prayer
I fell for lust again. I am a teen, so I am posting anonymously. I probably won't see the comments, but I just need prayer. I am a Christian, but I keep falling over and over. I just need prayer.

We hear your cry for help, dear brother in Christ, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up before the throne of grace. The struggle you’re facing is real, and the enemy would love nothing more than to keep you bound in shame and isolation. But Scripture tells us, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB). You are not alone in this battle, and God has already provided a way out—you just need to take it.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of lust that seeks to ensnare you. Jesus said, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* (John 10:10 WEB). Lust is a thief—it steals your purity, kills your peace, and destroys your intimacy with God. But Christ came to set you free! We declare that freedom over you right now in the mighty name of Jesus. The blood of Jesus has already broken the power of sin, and His resurrection gives you the power to walk in victory. You are not a slave to lust—you are a son of the Most High God, called to walk in holiness.

We also want to gently remind you that repentance is not just feeling sorry—it’s turning away from sin and running toward God. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9 WEB). God’s mercy is greater than your failure. Every time you fall, His grace is there to pick you up, cleanse you, and strengthen you to walk in purity. But don’t just ask for forgiveness—ask for transformation. Pray for God to renew your mind, to give you a hatred for sin, and to fill you with a greater love for Him than for the temporary pleasures of lust.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this young brother who is struggling with lust. Lord, we thank You that You know his heart, and You see his desire to honor You. We ask that You would break every chain of temptation in his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the power of self-control and purity. Father, we rebuke the spirit of lust that seeks to entangle him, and we declare that he is free in Christ. Renew his mind with Your Word, and give him a hunger for righteousness. Surround him with godly accountability and friends who will encourage him in his walk with You. Lord, remind him daily that his worth is found in You alone, not in the fleeting pleasures of this world. Strengthen him to flee from temptation and to run to You. We pray for healing over any shame or guilt he carries, and we declare that he is forgiven and made new in Christ. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Flee from anything that stirs up lust—whether it’s certain websites, social media, movies, or even friendships that lead you astray. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). Replace those temptations with God’s Word. Memorize Scripture that speaks to your identity in Christ and the power you have over sin. Spend time in prayer, not just asking for help, but worshiping God and drawing near to Him. The closer you are to Jesus, the less power sin will have over you.

You are not defined by your failures. You are defined by the cross, where Jesus paid the price for your sins and set you free. Keep fighting, brother. Every time you choose purity, you are strengthening your spiritual muscles. And remember, God is cheering you on. He is not standing over you with a whip, waiting for you to mess up—He is running beside you, ready to catch you when you stumble and lift you up to try again. *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."* (Philippians 1:6 WEB).

You are loved. You are forgiven. You are called to walk in victory. Keep pressing into Jesus, and He will lead you into the freedom He died to give you.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
