I denounced a former pedocriminal and I need your protection

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me: I reported a former child sex offender at the church I currently attend, who had sexually abused several young girls in the past. I had already left a church where I’d been harassed for a year and a half because the pastor had dreamed that I was supposed to marry a man from the congregation—a man I didn’t like at all and who was easily 20 years older than me. He knew that my mother had been hospitalized for five years, that I was suffering because of it, that I had been raising my sister for five years and she was suffering too, and that I had been sexually assaulted in the past and suffered from ###—yet none of that stopped him. I left that church on ###. And now I find myself facing this situation in the new church, knowing that I arrived there wounded and worn out by so many things—I didn’t have a good reputation to begin with. I’m utterly exhausted and exasperated by it all; I’m struggling financially as well, I can’t get my business off the ground, and I’ve even started to wonder if I ever really knew God to begin with. Yet I’ve been walking by faith for a long time. I’m desperate and don’t know how to deal with all these situations. I don’t have much money left, and I’m sending you this message with my last remaining hopes. Please help me in prayer. Cover me with the blood of Jesus so I can be protected

We stand with you in this incredibly painful and heavy season, lifting you up before the throne of grace with deep compassion and urgency. What you have endured, sexual assault, spiritual manipulation, financial strain, and now the courageous act of exposing evil, is more than any one person should bear. Yet you have chosen righteousness over silence, truth over comfort, and justice over fear. That is the mark of a heart that knows God, even when the enemy whispers lies to make you doubt it.

First, we rebuke the spirit of accusation and despair that seeks to convince you that you do not know God or that your faith has been in vain. The Word declares, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Your weariness does not disqualify you; it is the very place where His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). The fact that you are still standing, still seeking Him, still choosing to do what is right, this is evidence of His work in you. Do not let the enemy steal your identity as a daughter of the King. You are not defined by the sins committed against you, the failures of others, or even your own struggles. You are defined by the blood of Jesus, which covers you completely.

We also rebuke the ungodly and manipulative behavior of the pastor who tried to force you into a marriage against your will, ignoring your pain and responsibilities. This was not the heart of God. Scripture is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14), and marriage is a sacred covenant to be entered into willingly, with wisdom and discernment, not under pressure or coercion. The fact that this man disregarded your suffering and your calling to care for your sister reveals a lack of biblical leadership. You were right to leave that environment. God does not call His daughters to be controlled or mistreated in His name.

Now, regarding the pedocriminal you exposed: we praise God for your courage. The Word commands us to "expose the works of darkness" (Ephesians 5:11) and to "rescue the weak and needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked" (Psalm 82:4). You have done a holy work, and we declare that the Lord will be your shield and your reward (Genesis 15:1). But we also recognize the spiritual warfare that comes with such an act. The enemy hates when his schemes are uncovered, and he will seek to retaliate through fear, isolation, or even financial attack. We stand against that assignment in Jesus’ name. "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper" (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over you, your home, your business, and your mind. Let the Lord arise, and let His enemies be scattered (Psalm 68:1).

We also address the financial struggle you are facing. The Lord sees your need and promises to "open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great you won’t have room enough to take it in" (Malachi 3:10). But we must also encourage you to seek wise counsel, both spiritually and practically. Are there godly mentors or financial advisors in your church who can help you steward what you have? Are there small steps you can take to rebuild, even if it feels slow? The Lord often works through the faithfulness of His people, and He may be using this season to teach you dependence on Him in new ways. Do not despise the day of small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). Your business will take off in His timing, but you must also be diligent and seek His strategy.

As for your question about whether you ever truly knew God: beloved, the fact that you are asking this question at all is proof that the Holy Spirit is still at work in you. The enemy wants you to doubt, but the Spirit of God testifies with your spirit that you are His (Romans 8:16). You have walked by faith for a long time, this is not the work of someone who does not know God. It is the work of someone who is being refined. The trials you are facing are not evidence of His absence; they are evidence of His trust in you to carry His light into dark places. "For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and everlasting weight of glory" (2 Corinthians 4:17).

Now, we pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her up in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You see every wound, every tear, every injustice she has endured. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask You to pour out Your healing balm over her soul. Where there is trauma, bring restoration. Where there is fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Where there is financial lack, provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over her life. Cover her with Your protection, Lord. Surround her with Your angels, that no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every assignment of the enemy sent to intimidate, isolate, or impoverish her. We declare that she is hidden in Christ, and no evil can touch her without Your permission (Psalm 91:1).

Lord, we ask for wisdom and favor for her business. Give her creative ideas, divine connections, and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide for her in ways that only You can, so that she may testify to Your goodness and faithfulness.

We also pray for her church. Expose any darkness that remains, Lord. Bring repentance, restoration, and godly leadership. Let Your light shine in that place, and let Your justice prevail. Protect the vulnerable, and let Your name be glorified.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair that seeks to convince her she does not know You. Remind her of Your faithfulness in her past. Let her see Your hand at work, even in this season. Strengthen her faith, Lord. Let her hope be renewed as she waits on You (Isaiah 40:31).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would surround her with godly community. Bring people into her life who will speak truth, offer support, and walk with her in love. Let her know she is not alone.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in her. Amen.

Beloved, do not lose heart. The same God who parted the Red Sea, who raised Jesus from the dead, who shut the mouths of lions, this God is fighting for you. You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved, and your story is not over. Keep pressing into Him. Keep speaking truth. Keep walking by faith, even when you cannot see the way. The Lord is your shepherd; you shall not want (Psalm 23:1). He will lead you beside still waters, and He will restore your soul.

We’ve been sitting with your words, and the weight you’ve been carrying leaves us quiet for a moment. You’ve endured relentless pressure, harassment in one church, and now the courage to report a dangerous person in another, all while raising your sister, grieving your mother’s hospitalization, and trying to keep your head above water financially. That’s not weakness; that’s someone who has been faithful through unthinkable exhaustion.

When you said you’ve started to wonder if you ever really knew God, we heard less doubt and more the cry of someone who’s poured out everything and just needs to know she isn’t invisible. We think of Elijah, so depleted he wanted to die, and how God didn’t answer with a sermon or a demand, he sent rest, simple food, and quiet presence before anything else. Your body and mind are telling you the tank is empty, and that doesn’t disqualify your faith. It means you’re human and you’ve been heroic for far too long.

One concrete thing we’d gently encourage: if you haven’t already, let a trustworthy, safe person in your new church or community know what you’ve been walking through, not the whole story all at once, but enough that someone else can help carry the practical weight or simply sit with you. Isolation deepens the exhaustion, and you’ve been alone in this far too long. Also, if some of the symptoms you hinted at haven’t been checked by a doctor recently, that may be worth a visit; our bodies keep score, and a professional can help you sort what’s physical from what’s sheer burnout.

We’re praying you feel shielded, not because nothing hard can reach you, but because you’re held.

Jesus, wrap this daughter of yours in steady, quiet safety. Give her real rest, deep and restorative. Provide for her financial needs in ways she can’t yet see, and bring a wise, gentle companion into her life who will walk alongside her. When the fog of exhaustion lifts a little, let her recognize your care in the small, concrete gifts of each day. Amen.

We too often flog the Church when the whip should be laid on our own shoulders. Yet in your case, the wounds you bear were not self-inflicted; you have acted with courage in a house that should have been a shelter. Still, let us commence with ourselves, remembering that even the righteous suffer, and our own need of revival does not cancel God’s faithfulness. I charge you to spurn, with the utmost indignation, any so-called authority that would shield a wolf while scattering the sheep. Such protection is not worth the foul breath that utters it.

Now, labor to get rid of fear. The fear of God brings blessings, but the fear of man brings a snare, and such a snare that many feet have been tripped by it. You have been tripped, yet hear the command: “Fear not, thou worm Jacob; I will help thee, saith the Lord.” Why should you fear? Doubt the Eternal, distrust the Omnipotent? O traitorous fear! Think you that the arm which piled the heavens shall be palsied when a child of His cries for protection? The promise is absolute and unqualified, we are not to fear at all. Not the loss of reputation, nor the empty purse, nor the weariness that whispers you never knew Him. He does not say, “Fear so much, but not beyond that,” but gives an unlimited exhortation: “Fear not.”

You ask for the covering of the blood of Jesus. There is the help: look into your Savior’s breast. Away, sad doubt and anxious fear! Mercy is all that’s written there. The main way to overcome is to believe firmly in your Lord. Jacob’s fear was wrong because it followed a great deliverance; your God has delivered you from the snare of a false shepherd and given you eyes to see the evil in this new place. Will you not trust Him to complete what He has begun? You need not fear the possibility of being cast away, for you are a member of His body, unless He dismembers Himself, He cannot cast off any vitally united to Him.

You say you wonder if you ever knew Him. I tell you He is the Savior you need, not when you are stronger, but now in your desperation. He came from the bright world to visit those sitting in darkness and in the valley of the shadow of death. You need no fresh machinery, only the life and fire in what you have. Light the fire and get up steam. That is what you need, not fresh plans, but a fresh grip on the promise: “I will help thee.” When the Lord fills this great house, beckon to your partners to come and help you, yet even if they flee, the promise stands. He will give you supplies of daily food, and all you need beside, both for body and soul.

Fear not the want of outward good; He will for His provide. Let this be the battle in your soul: belief and unbelief, fear and faith battling together. Use the telescope of faith frequently. Look beyond the present wreckage to the eternal salvation He has obtained. You are exhausted, but He says, “Fear not; I will help thee.” This is not the false peace of a priest’s breath, but the true forgiveness that breeds the holy fear of God. So, shake off that tormenting dread. The blood of Jesus has already answered every accusation. Your business, your finances, your wounded heart, all these are held in the hand that was pierced for you. Away with fear. God will these powers restrain; His mighty arm their rage repel. Trust Him and be at peace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The weariness of your soul is known to God, who permitted His own Son to become man for your sake, that you, a child of Adam, might become a child of God. If He humbled Himself to such a depth, will He now abandon you in your present distress? Do not let the storm of your circumstances drown out this truth: when you were far off, He brought you near by His blood, and now that you are near, He will keep you. The same grace that lifted you from the pit will sustain you until the end, for His gifts have no bound and no one can snatch you from His hand.

You have done what is right in exposing that wicked man. The righteous act often brings the world’s hatred, but remember that the apostles themselves, unarmed fishermen, overcame the whole world not by force but by faith. Their Master permitted them to be sifted like wheat, yet prayed that their faith would not fail. So now, your own trials are not a sign of God’s absence but a proving of your faith, that you may emerge as gold. Even the fall of Peter was allowed for his amendment; how much more will your sufferings, if you endure, work for your salvation?

Do not listen to the whisper that you never truly knew God. That thought comes from the enemy who would have you doubt the very grace that saves. If the blasphemer Paul could obtain mercy and be counted faithful, can you, who cling to Christ in your exhaustion, be cast away? Faith does not demand that we have all answers or that our path be free of thorns; it demands that we hold fast to what we have received without adding human reasoning as if God’s promises were fables past their season. You were called Faithful precisely for this: to believe without wavering, even when every outward support crumbles.

Approach the throne of grace now, while it is still a throne of grace. Bring no evil conscience of unbelief, but come boldly, for this is the season of help. Your financial need, your tattered reputation, your wounded heart, all these are permitted so that you might learn to stand not in your own strength but in the hope of the glory of God. That hope is no vague wish; it is a certainty firmer than the earth, for it is anchored in Him who cannot lie. The very evils of this present time, though they press hard, are light and momentary when weighed against the eternal weight of glory being prepared for you.

Yet I do not counsel idleness. You must mind heavenly things, not let your soul become worldly through anxious care. The Spirit who indwells you is not received by a heart that clings to the despair of this age. Wake, then, from the heaviness of grief, and offer up your own efforts alongside your prayers, for we need both our part and God’s part to be saved. You have already acted in obedience; now add to that a steadfast refusal to doubt. The God who fed Elijah by ravens and multiplied the widow’s oil sees your empty purse and your struggling labor. He allowed it not to crush you but to teach you to rely on Him alone.

As for protection, I do pray that the precious blood of Jesus cover you and every scheme of the evil one be brought to nothing. But remember, the greatest protection is the peace of a heart that trusts fully in the Lord. The world cannot give it and the world cannot take it away. Therefore, shake off this despair. You are not fighting for your reputation before men, but for the crown of life before God. Stand firm in the grace wherein you stand, and do not cast away your confidence. The One who did not spare His own Son will surely with Him freely give you all things needed for your journey, until you see Him face to face.

You did what the Scripture commends when you refused to tolerate evil in the congregation. The church at Ephesus was once praised for not bearing with those who are wicked, and your courage echoes that same holy refusal. You have been battered by leaders who should have carried your burdens instead of adding to them, and that wound is real. It is no small thing to stand up after being harassed, after caring for your sister, after enduring so much trauma, and still act to protect others from a predator. That is not the behavior of someone who has never known God. That is the costly, bone-tired obedience of someone who has been walking by faith longer than she realizes.

The early church was never meant to be a place where sin is swept into the shadows. When the Corinthian assembly allowed a man living openly in sexual sin to remain without discipline, Paul commanded them to purge out the old leaven and deliver the man over to the consequences of his deeds, so that the fellowship would be pure and the man might even repent. Your action was in that same spirit, not revenge, but a love for what is right and a protection of the vulnerable. Even when a local body fails to see or to act, Jesus still moves among His lampstands with eyes like fire, and He knows those who love His righteousness. He does not abandon His true witness.

It is understandable that you feel exhausted and even question whether you ever knew God. After being used by a pastor who claimed to hear from heaven while trampling your grief, and then finding yourself in the middle of yet another heavy exposure, your heart is raw. But the history of the church is littered with the failures of men, and God’s purposes have never depended on their perfection. In the book of Acts we see the church as God intended it: full of power, purity, and love. That standard calls us upward, not to despair. You are not responsible for the wreckage others created; you are only invited to cling to the Head who will not break a bruised reed.

Protection is your deep need right now, and you have asked for it in the only name that shields. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than any earthly verdict or human reputation. Covering yourself with that sacrifice means you are hidden in Christ, and no weapon forged against you, whether accusations, financial disaster, or spiritual darkness, can separate you from His love. Speak that truth quietly when fear presses in. He sees your empty purse and your last hopes; He is not indifferent.

I am praying that every lie about God that has seeped into your soul through these betrayals will be silenced. May He sustain your business and provide for you and your sister in ways that unmistakably bear His signature. May He give you deep rest, even when sleep feels impossible. And may He grant you a fresh certainty that you belong to Him, not because church leaders got everything right, but because Jesus Himself holds you fast. You are not alone. You are not unknown. You are sheltered.
