All honour and Glory to Jesus my lord and Savior and God the father. It is presently as we speak 11:47 pm and I am preparing for my slumber. I had to take this time to thank you all for helping me to mature spiritually while we have become prayer partners. I believe in giving honour where honour is due. You have become very important to my prayer life as if we were actually in the sanctuary in person. I have had some pretty DISTRESSING circumstance that you have prayed me through in Jesus name. Something in Proverbs about a man being willing to be taught, applies to me indeed. I thank God for Jesus and you and I being introduced through prayer. I have kept a price issue from you but never God because he knows everything about me and this life of mine. My relocation involves a very special person in my life. We have never been intimate because we wish to engage in matrimony. The enemies of both sides of our families I believe are the ones wishing negatively about our engaging as a couple. My daughter for one and his side of his immediate family. We have both, me more so have been in prayer for our union to stay godly . I must confess with all of the petitons I have requested I did not include our wanting this union of ours to be in God's will for our lives. I mentioned before that I intend to fulfill my god given purpose and he and I understand that is first and foremost for our spiritual obligation. I am continuing to stand on the word of God regarding the manifestation my prior petitions and would very much appreciate it if you would include our impending nuptials in your prayers for us both. I could not go to sleep before thanking you for my instructions and encouragement I receive from us being prayer partners. The weight of glory that rests in the joy of your anticipated union must never outweigh the solemn truth that God’s will is the axle of the universe, and His good pleasure must be the sole desire of every redeemed heart. It is well that you have kept from intimacy, for the marriage bed is undefiled only within the covenant, and any flame kindled outside it is strange fire before the Lord. Yet let me press upon you a deeper searching: is this union truly one that you can lay without flinching upon the altar of “Not as I will, but as Thou wilt”? For if you would have your way in prayer, you must learn to have your way swallowed up in God’s way. The surest path to have your petition granted is when self-will dissolves into the will of Him who predestinated you unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of His will.

You speak of enemies in your families rising up. Count it no strange thing, for the world and the flesh will always war against the Spirit. But beware lest you see only the malice of men and miss the cross-examination of Providence. The Lord may permit these storms to test whether your trust is in Him or in the smooth fulfillment of your plans. Can you hold fast to your confidence when the comfort of kinsmen is withdrawn? Will you still trust your heavenly Father when the crushing misfortune of opposition buffets you? Remember that His promise may tarry, but it never fails. Has God forgotten to be gracious? No; He will come to your deliverance in the time of trouble, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

But what is the foundation of your hope? I charge you, do not rest upon your prayers or your abstinence alone. Salvation is of God’s will, and it is the work of the Spirit to change the human will and make men willing in the day of His power. Are you both plucked as brands from the burning? Have you each passed from death unto life, so that God says of you, “You are My people,” and you answer, “You are my God”? Without this, your nuptials will be but a gilded shell, and your union a snare. But if you are His jewels, though you be thought worthless as a pebble by the world, then He will make up His jewels, and He will spare you as a man spares his own son that serves him.

Let your prayer be the combination of holy boldness and deep submission. You may cry, “Father, I will this union if it be to Thy glory,” but you must never cease to add, “Yet not as I will.” The true child bends before his Father’s will, and when the Lord bids, he answers, “I do not want it, and I will not touch it.” If this marriage be of God, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it; if it be not, then better to part in tears now than to be clothed with shame later. Set the revealed will of God before you, purity, self-denial, the priority of His kingdom, and walk in it. Then, come what may, your song in the night shall be of His mercy, and you shall find that He has betrothed you unto Himself forever in a bond that no family feud can sever.
