I am trapped. Hiv

We hear your heart in this and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. You shared that you feel trapped and you are facing HIV and need medicine, and you are asking God to protect and bless you. We want you to know that God sees you, He knows your suffering, and He cares deeply for you even in this difficult place.

We want to gently share an important truth with you, because you mentioned God but did not mention Jesus. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved, Romans 10:9. He died for our sins and rose again so that we could be forgiven and have eternal life, and so that we can come boldly to God in prayer through Him.

You said I am good, and we appreciate your sincere heart, yet scripture teaches us that all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and our goodness and righteousness come only through faith in Christ. God loves you not because you have earned it, but because He is merciful and gracious, and He desires to forgive, heal, and restore those who call on Jesus.

We also hear your feeling of being trapped. God is a refuge in times of trouble. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. When we feel trapped by illness, need, or circumstances, we can run to Him. He also is our healer. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. And He promises, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We do not know how God will work in every situation, but we know He hears our prayers for healing and He often works through the wisdom He has given to doctors and through medicine. We encourage you to seek medical care as soon as you can, to visit a clinic, hospital, or trusted healthcare provider who can help with HIV treatment, and to reach out humbly and honestly to your brother or to other family, church, or community resources for help with medicine. God has promised, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19, and He can move hearts, including your brother's heart, and open doors for provision.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the feeling of being trapped and the burden of this illness. We ask for Your protection, Your peace, and Your presence to surround them. Lord, lay Your healing hand upon their body, give wisdom to any doctors and caregivers, and provide the medicine that is needed. We pray You would provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. Soften hearts and open doors so that help would come, whether through family or other means, and let no shame or fear keep them from seeking care. Father, bless them and keep them, make Your face to shine upon them and be gracious to them, Numbers 6:24-25. Draw them close to Jesus, forgive their sins, give them assurance of salvation, and fill them with hope. Help them to cast all their cares on You because You care for them, 1 Peter 5:7, and to rest in Your love. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying in Jesus' name, to stay connected to a local Bible believing church where you can receive support and prayer in person, and to continue to seek medical help faithfully while trusting the Lord day by day. He is near to the brokenhearted, Psalm 34:18, and He will not forsake you. Keep seeking Him and trusting Him for protection, provision, and healing according to His perfect will.

We hear how heavy this feels to be facing HIV and feeling trapped about getting medicine. Worrying about treatment while feeling stuck is a lot to carry alone, and we are grateful you reached out. You are seen and valued, and we are praying for you.

A good next step alongside prayer is to connect soon with a medical clinic or doctor who can walk with you on treatment and medicine access. If cost is a concern, the clinic staff or a social worker at a local health center can often point you to programs that help with medication and care. If you already have a doctor, reaching out this week to ask about options could bring clarity. A trusted pastor or counselor can also stay with you for support as you take those steps.

We also hear your heart for protection and blessing. God knows your needs and your desire to do what is good.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Cover him with Your protection and peace, give wisdom to the doctors and helpers around him, and open a clear path to the care he needs. Remind him daily that he is not alone and that You are near. Give him strength for each step ahead. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the heaviness of your heart as one who feels trapped and afflicted. The Scripture says, from the height of His sanctuary the Lord beheld the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to loose those that are appointed to death. You are not hidden from His eye, and your sickness and your straitness are not outside the sacred zone of His providential government.

We pray that you will see His hand even in this sharp trial. It is not killing but curing that God means when He takes the sharp lancet in His hand. He may put His hand into the bitter box, but He has sweet cordials ready to take the taste away, for His mercy endures forever. Your affliction, though it may come distinctly through man or through the body, is yet permitted by your Father, and nothing better can steady the soul than to say, the will of the Lord be done, and to trust that the nauseous medicine may work for the cure of a worse sickness, even the sickness of the soul.

You say, I am good. Hear the faithful word, that if we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. We were shapen in iniquity, and there is none good but God. The only fitness for grace is the need of it. Do not come before Him pleading your goodness, but come as a sinner needing a ransom. God has not left us to find our own deliverance, for He has said, I have found a ransom. That ransom is His own Son, who bore the penalty of our iniquities that we might be delivered from going down to the pit. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses from all sin, and there is healing for the broken in heart, for He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord who delivers from the power of darkness and translates sinners into the kingdom of His dear Son would deliver you indeed. We ask Him to have mercy upon your body, to grant you wisdom and open a way for proper medicine and care, and to give you favor and humility as you speak with your brother and with those who can help you. We ask Him to protect you in your trouble, to provide for your need according to His goodness, and above all to give you a deeper deliverance, even salvation through faith in Christ alone, and a heart that rests in His compassion which fails not.

Seek out the physician and the help that is at hand, for the Lord often works through means. Go to a clinic or hospital where care for this disease may be found, and make your need known plainly and humbly to your brother and to others whom God may use for your good. And while you wait, pant for more knowledge of Christ, be grateful for what grace you have, and keep your hope fastened upon Him who has promised, deliver him from going down to the pit.

May the Lord lift the poor from the dunghill by His grace, sustain you day by day, and let you yet say, I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.
