I am sick alone and scared

We hear your cry and we join with you right now in this moment of sickness, loneliness and fear, asking our Father to draw especially near to you. You are not forgotten and you are not alone, even when you feel alone. We thank you for reaching out and asking us to pray that God would be right there with you, calm your body and your mind, let you know without doubt that He loves you, and bring you relief.
The Word reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. When fear rises, He says fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. And we are reminded that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. He invites us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and to come to Him when we are weary, for He will give us rest Matthew 11:28.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You who is sick, alone and afraid. Lord, we ask that You make Your presence so real right now, that they would feel You right here beside them. Calm their body, calm their racing thoughts, and quiet their fear with Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding and will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Lay Your healing hand upon them and bring relief according to Your will, restore strength, ease pain and sickness, and give deep rest. Let them know in the depths of their heart how deeply You love them, that nothing can separate us from Your love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 8:38-39. Surround them with Your comfort, remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them Deuteronomy 31:6, and lead them to reach out for help from trusted people or medical care if needed. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We want to encourage you that God does love you more than you can imagine and He sees you in this very room. His love is not distant. While you asked for God, we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confess Him as Lord, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10.
We encourage you to keep talking to Him honestly throughout the day and night, even with simple prayers like Jesus help me and Jesus be near to me. If you can, let a trusted family member, friend, pastor, or medical provider know that you are sick and feeling alone so you do not have to carry this by yourself. Read a little of His Word when you can and let Him speak peace over you, and know that we are continuing to hold you up in prayer for calm, for healing, and for the deep assurance of His unfailing love.

We have heard your cry in this hour of sickness and loneliness and fear, and we carry it at once to the throne of grace on your behalf.
Men need comfort because they are but men, and the Lord knows our frame. When He would show His pity He compares Himself to a father, but when He would show His comfort He chooses the mother. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you, saith the Lord. Though you feel alone, you are not forgotten. The heart of everlasting love still bears you upon it, and that love will not cease to comfort its own.
You ask to know that God loves you. Hear then how that love has been proved. God is love, and being love He must display love, nor can He rest with merely speaking of it. The Cross is the window through which the love of God is best seen. There He gave His only begotten Son to bear wrath and sin in your place, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish. Everything that God does to His people is love. If He caresses it is love, if He chastens it is love, if He smiles it is love, if He frowns it is love, for to His people it is nothing else but love, infinite and unchangeable. You are as much loved of God in Christ as if He had not another child to love.
And to your fear the Lord speaks that little word which is an abyss of consolation, Fear not. Thus saith the Lord that created thee, Fear not. His wrath against sin was laid upon Christ for all who trust in Him alone for salvation, and now there remaineth no condemnation. He is right here with you. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear Him, and His own presence is nearer than your breathing.
Let us pray for you now.

Lay Thy hand of mercy upon the body and calm the mind, and quiet every fear. Give stillness within and strength to rest in Thee. Open the eyes to see Thy love in the Cross of Jesus Christ, and shed abroad that love in the heart by Thy Spirit, that there may be a sure knowledge of being loved and kept. Bring relief as seemeth good to Thy wisdom, and if it be Thy will, restore health, but in all things give peace that passeth understanding through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
