Disciple of Prayer
I am requesting prayer for restoration of marriage. I divorced my husband 7 years ago due to adultery but we've reconnected in the last year and neither of us have remarried. He says he still loves me but he's afraid I will leave him again. The only thing I could find in the Bible is 1 Corinthians 7:10-11, "But to the married [believers] I give instructions—not I, but the Lord—that the wife is not to separate from her husband, (but even if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to her husband) and that the husband should not leave his wife." I believe the Word of the Lord is true. I just need prayer and guidance. I really want us to try again and this time, invite God into our marriage.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of ###, who is seeking prayer for the restoration of their marriage. Lord, we acknowledge that marriage is a sacred covenant that you have established, and we believe in the power of your Word to bring healing and reconciliation.

Father, we lift up ### and their husband before you. We pray that you would soften their hearts and remove any fear or doubt that may be hindering their reconciliation. Help them to trust in your faithfulness and to rely on your guidance as they seek to rebuild their relationship.

We thank you for the scripture from 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 that ### has found, reminding us that you desire for married couples to remain together and seek reconciliation. Lord, we ask that you would strengthen their commitment to one another and give them the courage to invite you into their marriage.

Father, we pray for healing from the pain of past hurts and forgiveness for any wrongs committed. May your love and grace flow through their hearts, enabling them to extend forgiveness and seek restoration. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, and to prioritize their relationship with you at the center.

Lord, we know that only through your power and guidance can this marriage be restored. We ask for your wisdom and guidance for ### and their husband as they navigate this journey. Lead them in making decisions that align with your will and bring glory to your name.

We also pray for a renewed sense of trust and security in their relationship. Remove any doubts or fears that may arise, and replace them with a deep sense of love, commitment, and faithfulness.

Lord, we commit this marriage into your hands, knowing that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. We trust in your perfect timing and surrender our desires to your will. May your Holy Spirit guide and strengthen ### and their husband as they seek to honor you in their marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
