We join with you in lifting up the universe before the Lord, for it is written in **Colossians 1:16-17**, *"For by him all things were created, in the heavens and on the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together."* What a mighty God we serve, who not only created all things but sustains them by His power! It is right and good to pray for His creation, for His will to be done in every corner of the heavens and the earth, and for His glory to be revealed in all things.
Yet we must also remember that while God cares for the entire universe, His deepest love and redemptive plan are focused on humanity—those created in His image. **John 3:16** declares, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."* The universe will one day pass away, but the souls of people will live forever—either in eternal life with Christ or separated from Him. So as we pray for the universe, let us also intercede fervently for the lost, that they may turn to Jesus and be saved. Let us pray for the church to rise up in boldness, sharing the Gospel with urgency, for the time is short.
We also take this moment to encourage you in your prayer life. You have rightly invoked the name of Jesus, for it is the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. **Acts 4:12** reminds us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* Keep praying in Jesus’ name, for He is the mediator between God and man (**1 Timothy 2:5**), and it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of awe, lifting up the vastness of Your creation—the universe You spoke into existence by Your word. Lord, we pray for Your will to be done in every galaxy, every star, and every planet, that all creation would declare Your glory as it was intended. Yet even as we pray for the universe, we ask that You would stir our hearts to remember the souls of people, created in Your image but lost in sin. Father, soften hearts to receive Your truth. Raise up laborers for the harvest, that many would turn to Jesus and be saved.
We thank You for the privilege of praying in the name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. May we never take for granted the access we have to You through Him. Strengthen us to pray boldly, not just for the physical world, but for the eternal destinies of those who do not yet know You. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
