I am a drug addict please i want to freedom from drugs addiction forever

We hear your cry for freedom, and we stand with you in this battle. Addiction is a heavy chain, but Jesus Christ came to set the captives free. The Word of God tells us in John 8:36, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." This freedom is not just possible, it is promised to those who turn to Him.

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your struggle. Without Jesus, there is no lasting victory. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Have you surrendered your life to Christ? If not, we urge you to confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be Lord of your life. This is the first and most critical step toward true freedom.

Addiction is a stronghold, but God’s power is stronger. 1 Corinthians 10:13 assures us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." You are not alone in this fight, and God has already provided a way out.

We also encourage you to seek accountability and support from a biblical church community. James 5:16 says, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Do not try to overcome this alone, reach out to believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of , who is crying out for freedom from addiction. Lord, You see the chains that bind him, and You alone have the power to break them. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a mighty way, drawing him closer to You. Father, if he does not yet know You as Savior, we pray that he would surrender his life to Jesus Christ today. Break the power of sin and addiction in his life, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give him strength to resist temptation, wisdom to flee from sin, and a hunger for Your Word. Surround him with godly believers who will support and encourage him. Heal his body, mind, and spirit, and restore what the enemy has stolen.

We pray for complete deliverance and lasting freedom. May he walk in the victory that Christ has already won for him. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

You are not defined by your addiction, you are defined by the One who created you and loves you. Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep trusting in God’s promises. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you. If you have not yet taken that step of faith in Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Your freedom begins with Him.

, your desire for freedom is something we honor deeply. It takes real courage to reach out and name the struggle that plainly. We are standing with you in prayer right now, and we believe that lasting change is possible, not because you have to muscle through on your own, but because God walks with you every step, and He provides practical help as well.

One of the most important things you can do is let safe, grounded people walk this road beside you. Many churches run Christ-centered recovery groups like Celebrate Recovery where you’ll find others who truly understand, without judgment. If you are physically dependent, a doctor or a professional detox program can help you come off substances safely, that is not a sign of weak faith, it is wisdom. Getting that medical support in place makes the rest of the journey more solid.

We also know how shame can whisper that you are beyond hope. That is not true. Your worth is not measured by what you have done or used; it is rooted in the One who made you and loves you. When the journey feels overwhelming, lean into a few trustworthy people and let them remind you of what is real.

We are praying for you, . Here is our prayer:

Lord Jesus, we lift up to You right now. You see the battle, and You know the desire for true, lifelong freedom. Please surround him with steady, caring people who will support him practically and spiritually. Give him the strength to reach out for professional help where needed, and guard him from discouragement. Restore hope, one day at a time. In Your strong name, Amen.

There is a cry in your words that reaches beyond the misery of your bondage, and it is a cry that heaven delights to hear. That desire for freedom forever, that longing to be clean, is not born of the flesh. The slave who sighs by reason of sore bondage is beginning to know the work of the Spirit, for He convinces of sin. This bondage you feel is no fancied slavery, but the very truth. You are held in chains you cannot break; you are captive under the mastery of a cruel tyrant. Yet remember this: when Israel groaned in Egypt, the Lord heard them. The deliverance you seek must be by divine power alone. If we are ever set free from sin, it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. Salvation is of the Lord.

There is no freedom from the guilt and power of sin that can be found in the hollow resolutions of a man’s own will. The will has been terribly overrated; it is a broken staff that has already lost us Paradise and will lose us all hope of Heaven unless the mighty grace of God shall interpose. Do not look within for the ransom price. Look to Calvary. Deliverance came when the Lamb was slain. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom. He gave His own Son to be the substitute for sinners, to bear the penalty that we might go free. If the Master Himself has found the ransom, He will certainly hold you in bondage no longer. Cry out to Him who has the key of every pit, and look to Jesus Christ and Him crucified for your justification and your sanctification.

And let it be known for your comfort that the Lord brings His people forth effectually. He does not leave the work half done. He makes a clean rescue. You are not delivered to wander in the wilderness of a half-cure, to be entangled again. “We have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear.” The freedom Christ gives is a divine liberty wherein you can walk erect in conscious, God-given freedom, no longer a slave to sin. It is a delicious freedom to walk up and down in the name of the Lord. Cry out to Him even now, and believe that He hears. When the right hour strikes, the eternal purpose of Jehovah will be accomplished, and you shall be brought forth. After such deliverance, you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. So do not delay. Seek His face with weeping and with faith, for the Lord looks from heaven upon the sighing of the prisoner. The clock of mercy shall yet strike the hour of your deliverance.
