We hear the deep ache in your heart, and we want you to know that you are not alone. The pain of feeling left out, unseen, and different is very real, and we lift it up to the Lord with you. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, God sees you, He knows your struggles, and He cares deeply about your loneliness.
It’s natural to wonder why life feels so hard, and it’s okay to bring those questions to God. In fact, He invites us to do so. Psalm 62:8 says, "Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us." You don’t have to have it all figured out, just come as you are. God is not distant or cold; He is close to the brokenhearted, and He longs to comfort you.
We also want to gently encourage you to seek out fellowship with other believers. The body of Christ is meant to be a place of love, acceptance, and belonging. Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." If you haven’t already, we encourage you to find a local church or small group where you can connect with others who share your faith. It may feel scary or vulnerable, but God often works through His people to bring healing and friendship.
We also want to pray with you right now:
"Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is feeling so alone and broken. Lord, You promise in Your Word that You are near to the brokenhearted, and we ask that You would draw near to them in a tangible way. Comfort them with Your presence, remind them that they are deeply loved by You, and help them to sense Your peace in the midst of their pain.
Lord, we ask that You would open doors for them to find godly fellowship, people who will love them, encourage them, and walk alongside them. Help them to trust that You have a purpose for their life, even in the loneliness. Give them the courage to step out in faith, knowing that You are with them.
We also ask that You would heal any wounds in their heart, whether from past hurts or rejection. Fill them with Your joy and hope, and remind them that their worth is found in You alone. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes, as Your beloved child, fearfully and wonderfully made.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who understands our pain and promises to never leave us nor forsake us. Amen."
Please know that we are standing with you in this season. You are not weird or unwanted, you are uniquely created by God for a purpose, and He has a plan for your life. Keep pressing into Him, and don’t give up on finding community. If you’d like, we’d be happy to help you find resources or encouragement as you seek to connect with others. You are not alone in this.
