Husband's salvation and restored marriage

Please join me in prayer for my husband, Alan. He left me over 4 months ago to live with another woman (a coworker) that he had been secretly having an affair with. He has been very hateful and abusive to me since he left; he left the day I discovered the affair, and he has changed into a man I do not recognize, as if the devil has possessed him, and he is demanding a divorce. All of this was completely unexpected.

Please pray that God will intervene in this entire situation. Please ask our Father to restore the other woman's marriage (her name is Jackie and she has been separated from her husband, Chris, for over a year), to bind and bond her with her own husband, and to make her own husband her heart's desire. Please ask God to harden her heart against my husband, to expose all her lies, deceit, and sin, and to confront her and convict her of it, to bring her to Godly sorrow and repentance, to turn her away from her sin and to turn her away from my husband. Please ask God to send her completely out of our lives, to erase all memory of her and anything to do with her, out of our lives and out of my husband's mind and heart. She has told my husband that God brought him into her life -- please ask God to confront her and set her straight that He did NOT give her my husband.

Please ask God to build up barriers and a hedge of thorns between them, to create between them only guilt, shame, repulsion, confusion, disgust, resentment, anger, distrust, and pain. Please ask God to sever and destroy all bonds, binds, and connections between them, forever. Please ask God to harden my husband's heart against her, to fill him with disgust and shame and resentment for her, to open his eyes to her deceit and evil and trickery, to show him how she has caused him to abandon all the good things that God has blessed him with. Please ask God to give Alan a Damascus moment and to change him just as He changed Saul into Paul. Please ask him to give Alan a clear mind with discernment and understanding, to open his heart back to me, our home, our family, and our life together, to fill him with guilt and shame and remorse and most of all repentance for what he has done, to bring him to his knees in surrender to Christ, to accept the gift of salvation and to follow God's true will and word from this moment on. Please ask God to surround him with His presence, to fill him with the Holy Spirit, to renew him into a new, Godly man, turning from his adultery and unfaithfulness and returning to his home and our marriage. Please ask God to surround him with Godly influences and help, to supply him guidance to return home, to overcome his doubt, fear, and shame, to do the right thing and to return home with a new heart that is devoted to me and loves me as he used to, with a heart devoted to God and to restoring out marriage.

Please ask God to erase from my husband Alan all thoughts and desires for divorce. Please ask God to build in him the opposite desire, the desire to avoid divorce. Please ask God to destroy all divorce proceedings, to erase them and to banish them from our lives completely forever.

Please ask God to remain in my heart, to guide me each day, to keep me from the temptations of the evil one, to have His will in all I say and do. Please ask God to help me maintain some love for my husband so that I will be able to accept him with he returns, because my heart is suffering under so much pain and rage for all the hurt and cruelty he has tormented me with these last 4 months. Please ask God to restore me, to make me productive and prosperous, to help me find a new job that will meet all my and my family's needs and will fill me with joy. Please ask God to help me return to all the things I used to love and enjoy. I have been an empty, numb shell since my husband left, filled only with grief and anxiety and longing, a completely different woman from the one I was before I discovered the affair.

Please also pray the same prayers for my friend Julie and her husband Mark (she is facing the same situation), and my aunt Emily, and so many others who have suffered betrayal and the havoc of adultery in their marriages this year. Please ask God to send an army of angels to bind and cast back into hell all these demons of discord who the devil has sent to wreck families and marriages. Please ask God to intervene and to deal with all those who are using Him as an excuse to commit the evil of adultery and divorce, who are twisting His word and speaking on His behalf to pursue the evil desires of their hearts. Please pray that God will deal with churches who are turning a blind eye to these sins (my husband and the other woman go to church together at least twice a week -- I have asked all the pastors and several of the members for help, and they have turned me away and dismissed me, accepting the sin right in front of them).

Please ask God to strengthen me, to show me pity and mercy in shortening this trial and by acting quickly to lead my husband to accept salvation and to lead him home. Please ask God to intervene now, to make arrangements as He did with Jonah, to work all things for good according to His purpose, to rescue my husband from this deadly, sinful path he is on, and to restore him and our marriage.
