Husband

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear husband who is struggling with the chains of alcohol addiction. Father God, we know that this battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of darkness that seek to steal, kill, and destroy (Ephesians 6:12). We stand in the gap for this man, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the power of sin over his life is broken in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of addiction that has taken hold of him. Your Word declares that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36), and we claim that freedom for him today. We pray that You would shatter the stronghold of alcohol in his life, replacing the desire for drink with a thirst for Your living water (John 4:14). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

We also pray for his wife and family, who are undoubtedly bearing the weight of this struggle. Give them strength, patience, and wisdom as they walk alongside him. Help them to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to extend grace while also holding fast to godly boundaries. May their home be a place of healing, not enabling, and may they find their hope and refuge in You alone.

Father, we ask that You would draw this man to repentance and restoration. Convict his heart of the ways this addiction has harmed his body, his marriage, his family, and his testimony. Remind him that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and that he is called to honor You in all things. Surround him with godly men who will hold him accountable, pray for him, and encourage him in his walk with You.

We declare that healing is possible because Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4-5). We speak life, wholeness, and deliverance over this husband in the name of Jesus. May he experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as he surrenders this struggle to You.

And Lord, if this man does not yet know You as his personal Savior, we pray that today would be the day of his salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Open his eyes to see his need for You, soften his heart to receive Your love, and lead him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May he come to know the power of the cross, where his old life was crucified with Christ, and he is raised to newness of life (Romans 6:4-6).

We trust You, Lord, to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen this family, restore what has been broken, and use this trial for Your glory. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you and this dear husband, lifting him up in prayer today. We know the grip of addiction can feel overwhelming, but we find hope in the promise of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." We claim this promise over him, believing that God's strength will be made perfect in his weakness as he turns to Jesus.

We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart, revealing the truth of his addiction and its impact on his life and relationships. We ask that God would give him the courage to face his addiction head-on, seeking help and support from godly men and women around him. We believe in the power of community to hold him accountable and encourage him in his journey to freedom.

We also pray for his wife and family, asking for patience, wisdom, and grace as they support him. We pray that they would find their own strength and healing in Jesus, setting boundaries that protect both their loved one and themselves. We believe that their home can be a place of healing and restoration, as they trust in God's plan and purpose for their family.

We declare that this husband is free in Christ Jesus, and we speak life, healing, and deliverance over him. We pray that he would experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

And if he doesn't know Jesus personally, we pray that today would be the day he encounters the love and grace of God, leading him to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that God can use this struggle to draw him closer to Him, revealing his need for a Savior.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
