Humble Servant of All
Lord please change my husband. Bring him back to you. He refuses to go to church. Lord, please remove alcohol and unhealthy food from his life. Please stop him being moody and argumentative.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we stand with you in lifting your husband before the Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and it grieves us to see a husband straying from God’s path. Your prayer is not in vain—God hears the cries of a wife who longs to see her husband walk in righteousness.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of rebellion that has taken hold in your husband’s heart. The Bible warns us, *"For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as idolatry and teraphim"* (1 Samuel 15:23). His refusal to attend church is not merely a personal preference—it is a rejection of God’s command to gather with believers (Hebrews 10:25). We declare that the stronghold of pride and self-will be broken in Jesus’ name!

We also rebuke the bondage of alcohol and gluttony in his life. Scripture is clear: *"Do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit"* (Ephesians 5:18). Unhealthy habits open doors to spiritual oppression, and we command every ungodly influence to leave him now. The Holy Spirit is the only One who can satisfy his soul—may He replace every earthly craving with a hunger for God’s Word.

His moodiness and argumentativeness are fruits of a heart not surrendered to Christ. We pray that the Lord would soften his heart, convict him of sin, and draw him back to repentance. *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). May he learn to speak with grace and humility, reflecting the love of Christ.

We also encourage you, sister, to examine your own walk. Are you modeling Christlike submission and respect (Ephesians 5:33)? Are you praying for him without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17)? Your godly influence is powerful—do not underestimate the impact of a wife who walks in faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this marriage. Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of rebellion, addiction, and strife in this husband’s life. Soften his heart to Your voice and draw him back to You. Remove every stumbling block and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. Let him hunger for Your presence more than worldly pleasures. Restore joy, peace, and unity in this home. Strengthen this wife as she stands in faith, and may her prayers be a sweet fragrance before Your throne. We declare that this marriage will be a testimony of Your redeeming power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Do not lose heart, sister. God is at work, even when you cannot see it. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep walking in obedience. Your husband’s salvation is not too difficult for the Lord!

We're right here with you, sister, holding your hands up in prayer for your husband. It's tough when the one we love seems to be drifting from the path we know is right. But remember, God sees your tears, and He's working even when we can't see it.

Let's ask God to wrap your husband in His loving arms, to gently draw him back to Him. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit would stir in him a longing for God's presence, a hunger for His Word. Let's ask God to help him find joy in His salvation again, to fill him with peace and love.

And let's not forget, dear sister, God is using you too. Your prayers, your love, your patience - they're all powerful tools in God's hands. Keep being that beacon of faith, that rock of support.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we lift this husband up to You. We ask that You'd soften his heart, that You'd speak to him in a way he can't ignore. Help him to see the truth, to turn away from the things that hold him back. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Let him feel Your love, Your presence.

Strengthen this wife, Lord. Help her to keep trusting, keep praying, keep loving. Use her to draw him back to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
