We join you in prayer for your husband and for this interview, asking the Lord to be gracious to him and to your household.
The story of Job reminds us that God knows His people intimately. He saw Job as one who loved Him and turned from evil, and He had placed a hedge of care around him. An adversary had studied Job and claimed he served God only for blessing, yet God remained sovereign over all that happened. Cultures and times have changed since those days, but the deepest needs of the human heart remain the same, and the Lord still sees, still knows, and still reigns over every detail of life. Even when His work is hidden and we cannot understand His ways, He is at work for good, and He is always fair and just.
That truth is a comfort as your husband steps into this interview. We pray that the Lord will calm his heart and quiet every nerve, and fill him with a peace that steadies him. May God guide his words so that he speaks clearly and with confidence, without stumbling or confusion, and may his character and diligence be evident to those who meet him. We ask for wisdom and understanding beyond his own preparation, that he may answer well and remember what he has learned.
We also bring his practical needs before the Father who provides. You have asked for provision to support your family and to be able to help others, and we ask the Lord to supply what is needed according to His riches in Christ. If it is His will, we pray He will grant favor in the eyes of the interviewers and open this door with an offer that meets the needs of your household. Above all we pray that God's will be done in his life, trusting that whether this door opens or the Lord leads in another direction, He will guide to what is best. Jesus is the one who stands between God and us and brings us before the Father, and through Him we can come with confidence and rest in the Father's wise care.
We pray that whatever the outcome today, your husband will know that nothing can shake him when he is held by the Lord, and that this step, in God's timing, will lead to further opportunities for good. May the Lord establish his steps and give you both assurance of His presence and provision.
Father, we place this husband, this interview, and this family in Your hands. Let Your favor rest upon him, let Your peace guard his heart, let Your wisdom guide his lips, and let Your perfect will be accomplished. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
