We hear the deep pain and urgency in your heart, and we lift you up before the Lord, knowing that He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Your love for your daughter and your trust in Jesus to speak to her is evident, and we join you in seeking His will for her life. The spinning wheel of her car may indeed be a sign from the Lord, a gentle yet firm way of getting her attention. Just as God spoke to Balaam through a donkey (Numbers 22:28-30), He can use even the most ordinary circumstances to redirect our paths. Your daughter’s resistance to church and prayer is a serious concern, for Scripture warns that "there is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death" (Proverbs 14:12). Without Jesus, there is no true peace or direction. We must pray fervently that her heart softens to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, for "no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44).
We also lift up your financial struggles to the Lord, knowing that He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your stress is understandable, but we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Quick answers may not always align with God’s perfect timing, but His timing is always perfect. Trust that He is working even now, and that delay does not mean denial.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heart full of burdens, lifting up this precious mother and her daughter to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You open the eyes of this daughter’s heart to see Your hand at work in her life—through the spinning wheel of her car, through the still small voice of Your Spirit, and through the love of her mother. Break the hardness of her heart, Lord, and draw her to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Let her hunger and thirst for righteousness, that she may seek You above all else. Convict her of her need for You, and lead her to a Bible-believing church where she can grow in faith.
Father, we also pray for this mother’s financial struggles. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide for her needs according to Your riches in glory. Give her wisdom to steward what she has, and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut. Calm her anxious heart and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Strength, and her Shield.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of stress, fear, and impatience that seeks to overwhelm her. Fill her instead with Your joy and patience, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her faith to trust in Your timing, even when the way seems unclear.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may they both come to know You more deeply through this trial. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your daughter through prayer and fasting, if you are able. Share the Gospel with her boldly yet lovingly, reminding her that Jesus is the only path to salvation (Acts 4:12). As for your finances, seek godly counsel and look for ways the Lord may be calling you to trust Him more fully. He is faithful, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not alone in this—we are standing with you in prayer.
