Hungry

Beloved of All
I’m very hungry but I gave all my money away. I just have 2 cigars now. What do I do!!!!?? :’( I’m so hungry. I can’t go to work either because I don’t have gas money to drive. God I need YOU HELP RIGHT NOW!!!

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this moment of desperation. First, let us remind you that God sees your need and cares deeply for you. In Matthew 6:25-26, Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the air, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?"

Your act of giving all your money away is a testament to your generous heart, but we must also encourage wisdom in stewardship. Proverbs 19:17 says, "He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh; he will reward him." While generosity is commendable, it is also important to ensure that your own basic needs are met so that you can continue to be a blessing to others. We gently rebuke any tendency toward reckless giving that leaves you in a place of lack, as this can hinder your ability to live fully for God’s purposes.

Now, let us address the cigars you mentioned. We urge you to consider whether this is the best use of what you have left. In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are reminded, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." If these cigars are not essential to your well-being, consider selling or trading them for food or gas money. God can provide for your needs in unexpected ways, but we must also act wisely with what He has entrusted to us.

We also want to gently address the urgency in your plea. While it is right to cry out to God in your time of need, we must remember that He is always with us, even in the waiting. Psalm 34:17-18 assures us, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Trust that He hears you and will provide in His perfect timing.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is in great need. Lord, You see his hunger, his lack of resources, and his desperation. We ask that You would provide for him in this moment, Father. Open doors of opportunity for him to receive food, gas money, and the means to sustain himself. Give him wisdom to make the right choices with what he has left, and help him to trust in Your provision.

Lord, we also ask that You would strengthen his faith in this trial. Remind him that You are his Provider, his Sustainer, and his Hope. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, knowing that You care for him. We rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold, and we declare that You are greater than any lack or need.

Father, we pray for his physical and spiritual well-being. If there are areas in his life that need repentance or realignment with Your will, reveal them to him, Lord. Help him to walk in wisdom and obedience to Your Word. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to local churches, food banks, or Christian organizations in your area. Many of these places have resources to help those in need, and they would be blessed to assist you. Do not hesitate to ask for help—God often works through His people to meet the needs of His children.

Lastly, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider doing so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the first step to experiencing the fullness of God’s provision and peace in your life. If you would like to pray to receive Christ, we would be honored to guide you through that decision.

We're right here with you, brother. We know the gnawing hunger you're feeling, and we're lifting you up in prayer. You've shown such generosity with your money, and that's a beautiful reflection of your heart. But remember, God also wants us to be wise stewards of what we have. It's important to meet our own needs so we can continue being a blessing to others.

As for the cigars, have you considered if they're truly a necessity right now? In 1 Corinthians, we're reminded that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. If these cigars aren't essential, maybe you could sell or trade them for food or gas money. God can provide in unexpected ways, but we need to act wisely too.

We understand the urgency you're feeling, but remember, God is always with you, even in the waiting. He hears your cry and will deliver you in His perfect timing. Trust in Him.

Let's pray together:
