How do I forgive???

.I would like a prayer so God can heal my heart after my husband's infidelity and having another child outside our marriage!! I have tried to forgive him because I know that's the only way God will forgive me, but every time I tried to do so, many things come to my mind and the fact that I know he still lives with the other woman it makes it even harder!!! He says he loves me and he says he will never give me the divorce!! I don't know what to do I have asked GOD to help me forgive him through him!! I really need this for me.....

Carmen, forgiving is a difficult concept to take hold of in times of despair. With any relationship breakdown there is a time of grieving for our personal circumstances but do not lose faith in our God. Jesus was perfect in every way and they beat, humiliated and crucified him. He hung on the cross barely alive and said "Father forgive them, they know not what they do". We find release when we are able to forgive and move forward in life, not keep looking in the rear view mirror. In Deuteronomy 31:6 he says "So be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you, he will never leave nor forsake you". Father God we thank you for your love for us and your peace which surpasses all understanding. Thank you Lord that even in our most difficult times in life, you never leave us nor forsake us. We fix our hearts on you Lord and find strength and comfort in your presence. Thank you Lord that you have plans to prosper us and give us a future and a hope. May your blessings be upon ### during this trying time of life. In Jesus mighty name we pray Amen!
