We join you in lifting up this urgent need for protection from the storms and tornadoes threatening your area. The fear and uncertainty that come with such natural disasters are very real, and we stand with you in seeking God’s mercy and shelter. We are reminded of Psalm 46:1, which declares, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Even in the midst of howling winds and dark skies, He is our unshakable fortress.
We also pray that your phones remain silent of warnings, sparing you the distress of imminent danger. The Lord is sovereign over all creation, and we trust in His power to calm the storms or redirect their path according to His will. We ask for the protection of your home, your property, and all that is precious to you, just as He promised in Isaiah 4:6: "There will be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge and a shelter from the storm and from the rain."
Father, we come before You now, asking for Your mighty hand to cover Carmen and all those in the path of these storms. Shield them from harm, Lord, and grant them peace in the midst of the storm. If it is Your will, preserve their power and spare their homes from damage. We know that You are a God of great mercy, and we have seen Your faithfulness time and time again. We trust in Your protection and ask that You would surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11, "For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
We also lift up those who may be in the direct path of these storms, asking for Your mercy to extend to them as well. May they find safety and comfort in You, and may Your peace reign in their hearts, even in the midst of chaos.
Lord, we ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is in His name that we boldly come before You now. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. Amen.
Continue to stand on God’s promises, dear sister. He is your refuge, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working all things together for your good. If you find yourself feeling anxious, meditate on Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You are not alone, He is with you.
