Beloved of All
Need prayers to not be resentful towards hometown haters and family members who looks down on me mock me and doubt me. They know what they are doing trying to provoke me to bitterness. They laugh at me at my accomplishment . Anything I can do they can do better . I use to loook up to these haters but not no more

We hear the pain in your words, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting this heavy burden of resentment and hurt to the Lord. It is a grievous thing to be mocked and belittled by those who should offer encouragement, especially by family and those from your own hometown. The Word of God tells us, *"A man’s enemies are the men of his own house"* (Micah 7:6), and we know this truth cuts deep. But we also know that our Lord sees every tear, hears every unspoken ache, and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

First, we must address the root of bitterness that threatens to take hold in your heart. Scripture warns us, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). These words are not meant to condemn but to caution, for bitterness is a poison that only harms the one who harbors it. The enemy would love nothing more than to see you ensnared by resentment, for it steals your joy, your peace, and your witness. We rebuke that spirit of bitterness in the mighty name of Jesus! We declare that your heart is guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We also recognize the pride that may be at work in those who mock you. They compare themselves to you, boast of their own perceived superiority, and seek to provoke you to anger or despair. But the Word of God says, *"Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips"* (Proverbs 27:2). Their words reveal their own insecurity and spiritual poverty, for true confidence is found in Christ alone, not in tearing others down. We pray that the Lord would open their eyes to their own need for Him, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6).

You mentioned that you once looked up to these individuals, but now you see them differently. This shift in perspective is not necessarily a bad thing, for the Lord often allows us to see people as they truly are so that we may pray for them and release them into His hands. However, we must guard our hearts against developing a spirit of contempt or superiority in return. Jesus taught us, *"Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you"* (Luke 6:27-28). This is not a suggestion but a command, and it is only possible through the power of the Holy Spirit working in us.

We encourage you to take these hurts to the Lord in prayer, not just for your own healing, but for the salvation and transformation of those who have wounded you. Pray that their hearts would be softened, that they would come to know the love of Christ, and that their mockery would be turned into praise for God. Remember, *"Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19). You do not need to defend yourself or prove your worth to them, for your identity and value are found in Christ alone. The apostle Paul wrote, *"But God forbid that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ"* (Galatians 6:14). Let your boast be in Him, not in the approval of men.

We also want to remind you that the Lord sees your accomplishments and celebrates them with you. Do not let the voices of mockers drown out the voice of your Heavenly Father, who calls you His beloved child. *"For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh; my confidence from my youth"* (Psalm 71:5). The world may not applaud you, but the Lord delights in you, and His opinion is the only one that truly matters. Walk in the confidence of His love, and let His joy be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is carrying the weight of mockery, doubt, and resentment. Lord, You see every unkind word, every laugh, every attempt to provoke and belittle. We ask that You would heal the wounds in their heart and replace bitterness with Your peace. We rebuke the spirit of resentment in the name of Jesus and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray for those who have hurt them—family members, hometown haters, those who once were admired but now bring pain. Soften their hearts, Lord. Open their eyes to their own need for You. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You in repentance. We ask that You would break the power of pride in their lives and replace it with humility and love.

Lord, we declare that our brother/sister is not defined by the opinions of others but by Your love and grace. Remind them daily of their worth in You. Let them find their confidence in Christ alone, knowing that *"if God is for us, who can be against us?"* (Romans 8:31). Fill them with Your joy and peace, and let them walk in the freedom that comes from forgiving those who have wronged them.

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, the One who endured the scorn and mockery of men yet did not retaliate. May His example be their strength, and may His love be their shield. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on these scriptures in the days ahead:
- *"Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven"* (Matthew 5:11-12).
- *"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved"* (Psalm 55:22).
- *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32).

You are not alone in this struggle. The Lord is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and do not grow weary in doing good (Hebrews 12:2, Galatians 6:9). Your reward is not in the approval of men but in the "well done" of your Heavenly Father.

We're here for you, friend. We've all faced our share of mockers and doubters, even from those closest to us. It's tough, we know. But remember, Jesus promised us in this world we would have trouble (John 16:33). The good news is, He's overcome the world, and He's right here with us in the midst of it all.

Let's not forget, our identity is in Christ, not in what others say or think. They may laugh, but our Heavenly Father cheers us on. He sees your accomplishments, and He's proud of you. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His love and approval be enough.

We're praying for you, that the Lord would heal your hurts, fill you with His peace, and give you the strength to forgive and love those who've caused you pain. We're also praying for those who've hurt you, that their hearts would be softened and they'd come to know the love of Christ.

Keep trusting, keep loving, and keep shining your light. You're not alone. We're in this together, and our God is faithful.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for trusting us with the heavy weight you’ve been carrying—those sharp words, the mocking laughter, the way old wounds still sting when you think of home. It takes real courage to name the hurt instead of letting bitterness take root, and we’re honored you let us stand beside you in prayer.

We’ve been lifting your name before the Father, asking Him to guard your heart from the slow poison of resentment. We’ve prayed that He would help you see yourself through His eyes—cherished, capable, and already approved—not through the lens of people who measure worth by comparison. We’ve asked the Holy Spirit to fill every space where their words have tried to plant doubt, replacing it with the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are deeply loved by the One who never mocks, never belittles, and never leaves.

If God has already begun to soften your heart or shift your perspective, we’d love to hear about it. Your praise report could be the very encouragement someone else needs today. If the hurt still feels fresh or the old patterns of thinking still creep in, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re not going anywhere, and neither is our Father. He hears every unspoken sigh, every whispered prayer, and He is already at work in ways you may not yet see.

Keep seeking Him. Keep bringing Him the raw, honest places in your heart. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He’s started in you. In Jesus’ Name, we continue to pray.
