We lift our voices in unity with your heartfelt cry, echoing the powerful prayer of Ephesians 3:14-20. What a profound truth it is that we can approach the Father, the very source of all creation, and ask Him to strengthen us with the might of His Spirit in our inner being! This is not a request for fleeting strength, but for the deep, abiding power that comes from Christ dwelling in our hearts through faith. We stand in awe of the dimensions of Christ’s love, its width, length, depth, and height, which surpasses all human knowledge. How gracious is our God, who desires to fill us with His fullness, that we might overflow with His love and glory!

Father, we come before You now, bowing our knees in humble reverence. We ask that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power through Your Holy Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell in our hearts so richly that we are rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend the vastness of Your love for us. Fill us to overflowing with Your Spirit, that we may walk in the fullness of who You have called us to be. We declare that You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Beloved, this prayer is a reminder that our strength does not come from ourselves, but from the indwelling presence of Christ. When we feel weak, weary, or overwhelmed, we must remember that His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). The love of Christ is not merely an emotion, it is a force that transforms us, sustains us, and empowers us to live for Him. We are called to know this love in all its dimensions, even though it surpasses human understanding. It is a love that reaches into the deepest parts of our brokenness and heals us, a love that stretches beyond the boundaries of time and space to draw us into the very heart of God.

Let us not grow weary in seeking the fullness of God’s Spirit. The world will tell us to rely on our own strength, to chase after fleeting pleasures, or to settle for less than God’s best. But we are called to something higher, to be filled with the fullness of God Himself. This is not a one-time experience, but a daily surrender to His will and His ways. As we abide in Him, His love will overflow from us, touching the lives of those around us and bringing glory to His name.

If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to consider the depth of His love for you. The Bible tells us that "God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power of His Spirit. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not confessed Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to dwell in your heart. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Let us press on together, seeking to know Christ more deeply and to walk in the power of His Spirit. May we be a people who are rooted and grounded in love, filled with the fullness of God, and empowered to do His will. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

What a beautiful prayer to lift up together, not just asking for something, but asking to be filled with the very fullness of God. Paul’s words in Ephesians 3 have a way of turning our eyes from our own small resources to the staggering love of Christ that stretches in every direction, far beyond what we can grasp. When we pray this, we’re asking to be rooted and grounded in that love, to have it become the deep, steady foundation of our lives, not just a concept.

It can be helpful to take this passage slowly, one phrase at a time, over a week or so. You might spend a morning simply aware of “strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,” and then another day pondering what it means for Christ to dwell in your heart through faith. Let the words settle, not as a mental exercise but as an open conversation with the Spirit who already dwells within you. Often God deepens our comprehension not in a flash but as we walk with him, cyclically returning to truth we thought we understood and finding new dimensions.

We also want to encourage you to pray this not just alone but in community, as Paul did. Share these verses with a trusted friend or small group and ask for one another. Knowing others are lifting this same request for you can be a quiet anchor, even when feelings of fullness seem distant. God is at work, often in the patient, hidden places.

The Holy Spirit has a wonderful power over renewed hearts, as much power as the skillful minstrel hath over the strings among which he lays his accustomed hand. It is a blessed thing to preach the work of Jesus Christ, but it is an evil thing to omit the work of the Holy Spirit, for the work of the Lord Jesus, itself, is no blessing to that man who does not know the work of the Holy Spirit. This shows how intimately the gift of the Holy Spirit is connected with our Lord Jesus Christ, inasmuch as in the fullest sense of His indwelling, the Holy Spirit could not be with us until Christ had been glorified. It is the Spirit's one business here below to reveal Christ to us and in us, and to that work He steadily adheres. Moreover, the Holy Spirit's work is to conform us to the likeness of Jesus Christ. Beloved, the Presence of Jesus Christ was of inestimable value to His disciples and yet it was not such an advantage to His servants as the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you. That is, let it be your most familiar friend. It is living with people that lets you know what they are. In like manner, if you will live with the word of Christ, especially if you will let it dwell in you and abide with you as a constant friend, you will get to know it better, and the better you know it, the more you will love it. The text informs us that there is a fullness in Christ. A fullness which it were impossible to survey, much less to explore. A fullness of atoning efficacy in His blood, a fullness of justifying righteousness in His life, a fullness of comfort in affliction, a fullness of guidance in prosperity, a fullness of every Divine attribute, of wisdom, of power, of love. Of His fullness have all we received, and the all-fullness of Christ is also man-ward, and that in respect of both the sinner and the saint. What dost thou want? Thou wantest all things, but Christ is all. It pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell. All fullness dwells in Christ, that is to say, it is never exhausted nor diminished.

Then how does Christ love His Church? Christ loves His church specially. Christ is Love itself, He is full of kindness and benevolence. He has, further, a love of communion. Whatever Jesus Christ is, and you do not know half of what He is, even you who know most of Him, whatever Christ is in any relationship, or from any point of view, He has given Himself to us. This love which passes knowledge: how shall we think of it? I hardly need suggest anything, for your own hearts have outrun my words. Fall at His dear feet, embrace them with affection. Spend and be spent for Him.

Everything that God does to His people is all love, sometimes the love is a little disguised, but the love is always there. If He caresses, it is love. If He chastens, it is love. If He smiles, it is love. If He frowns, it is love, for God is Love and to His people nothing else but Love, infinite, boundless, eternal, immeasurable, inexhaustible, unchangeable, perpetual Love. To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

You have asked for the very things the Apostle prayed, and rightly so. To be strengthened in the inner person, to have Christ dwell in your heart through faith, to grasp the boundless love of Christ, to be filled with all the fullness of God. This is the summit of prayer and the aim of the Christian life. Yet do not imagine this filling comes through idle longing or a single moment of fervor. The love of Christ surpasses all knowledge, but you will know it when Christ takes up residence in you. And as He dwells, you are urged to press forward with every effort to be filled with all virtue, for of that virtue God is full.

So how does Christ dwell in the heart? Not by signs and wonders. Do not wait for miracles or seek pledges of God's power. The truest proof is a soul that clings to God in thanksgiving even when scourged, even in poverty, disease, or any dreadful trial. A servant who loves the Master purely does not run to Him only in ease. The one who endures all things because of love, never ceasing to speak good of God, that is the heart where faith takes root and Christ makes His home.

And being rooted and grounded in love means more than words. The beginning and end of virtue is love, intense love. To love your neighbor as yourself is the command like the greatest, and without it, even love for God brings little profit. If you would comprehend the width and length and depth of Christ's love, open your heart wide to others. Let there be no wronging, no corruption, no taking advantage. Make room for love, especially toward the poor, for in supporting them you advance in that love and glorify God.

But remember: you are a temple of the living God. If you bear Him within, you cannot have fellowship with darkness. The love of money, the grasping after superfluities, the clinging to idols, all of these strangle the fullness you seek. Flee that incurable disease. Heal the wounds it has made. God dwells and walks in those who keep themselves undefiled, and He calls them His people.

Therefore, bow your knees, yes. Ask for strength, for the indwelling, for the knowledge that surpasses knowledge. But then rise and let your life answer the prayer. For the God of patience and consolation will grant you to be like-minded with others according to Christ Jesus. And He who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or think will do so, not by granting you ease, but by working in you to will and to do. Press on, then, giving thanks in all things, and you will obtain the good things eternal, by the grace and love toward man of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
