We lift our hearts in agreement with your cry for the Holy Spirit’s strength and power, for Christ to dwell richly in our hearts, and for the fullness of God to overflow within us. The passage from Ephesians 3:14-20 is a profound declaration of our dependence on the Father and the limitless grace He pours out upon His children. It is a beautiful reminder that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the Spirit who indwells us, and that the love of Christ surpasses all human understanding.
Father, we come before You now, bowing our knees to You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of Your love, yes, to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. We pray that we would be filled with all the fullness of God.
Lord, we acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation, for sending Your Son to die for our sins, and for the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live lives that honor You. We confess that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), but through Him, we can do all things (Philippians 4:13).
We rebuke any spirit of weakness, doubt, or fear that would seek to hinder us from walking in the fullness of what You have called us to. We declare that Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and we choose to rely not on our own strength but on the might of the Holy Spirit who lives within us. We ask that You would open the eyes of our hearts to see the hope to which You have called us, the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19).
Father, we pray that You would fill us to overflowing with Your Spirit, so that rivers of living water would flow from within us (John 7:38). May we be vessels of Your love, grace, and truth to a world in desperate need of You. Let us not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
We also pray for those who may be struggling with sin, whether it be in their thoughts, actions, or relationships. Father, we ask that You would convict us of any areas in our lives that do not align with Your Word. If there is any unrepentant sin, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, hatred, jealousy, or any other work of the flesh, we ask that You would bring it to light and grant us the grace to turn away from it. Your Word tells us that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21), but we thank You that through Christ, we have been set free from the power of sin (Romans 6:6-7).
For those who may be in relationships that do not honor You, we pray that You would give them the courage to seek godly marriages that reflect Your design, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). We rebuke any spirit of fornication or adultery and ask that You would lead those who are courting to do so with purity, with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer (2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). May they flee from sexual immorality and honor You with their bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Father, we thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Let us hold fast to the truth that we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39). May we walk in the fullness of the Spirit today, bearing the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). In all things, may we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33), trusting that You will supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
