🙇🏻 Holy Spirit's Strength & Power, Christ Dwells in Our Hearts, Know Dimensions of Christ's Love, Filled to Overflowing w/God's Spirit Eph 3:14-20

The prayer you have lifted from Ephesians is one of the richest in all of Scripture. It rises straight from the heart of God for every believer, and I am glad you are pressing into it. What you are asking for, strength and power through the Spirit in the inner man, is exactly what we need most. The enemy is real, and his temptations are relentless. None of us has the native strength to stand against him. We must have God’s own might supplied by the Spirit deep within, where no human resolve can reach. As you cry out, the Lord who hears you will strengthen your soul.

Then the prayer moves to something even more intimate: that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. The word used there means to settle down and make oneself fully at home. It is not a passing visit; it is a permanent, comfortable, at-ease residence. This is what you are asking for, that Jesus would take up every room of your inner life, not just the front parlor but the hidden corners too. As you hold on to Him in simple trust, He comes and fills the space with His order and peace.

Being rooted and grounded in love follows. This is not a shallow emotion but a deep anchoring. The love of God poured out in Jesus Christ is both your foundation and your nourishment. You want to know the width and length and height and depth of that love, a love that surpasses knowledge. The glorious truth is that the Spirit works to perfect that very love within you. The surest sign that you are being filled with the Spirit is not a particular gift or experience, but love, the kind of self-giving, divine love that flows from God Himself. As you dwell in that love, you dwell in God, and His love is made complete in your life.

Then you ask to be filled with all the fullness of God. The heavens cannot contain Him, yet He deigns to fill a yielded human heart. It is staggering. But here is your confidence: you have access by faith into this grace in which you stand. God sees you in Christ, holy and without blame because His righteousness is yours. Nothing, not your weakness or your failures, can separate you from that love. You are His child, a joint heir with Jesus, kept by His power.

Let this prayer shape your daily walk. Yield to the Spirit afresh. Ask for that inner strengthening when the battle presses hard. Invite Christ to be at home in every part of your heart. Feed your faith on the enduring Word, for it is the Spirit’s sword. And as you do, the love of God will be shed abroad more and more, and you will know the fullness that overflows. May you truly comprehend, with all the saints, the love of Christ that passes knowledge, and may the Spirit Himself bear witness with your spirit that you are God’s beloved child forever.
