🧎🏽‍♂️"For THIS PRAYER we bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We lift our hearts in unity with your cry for the Holy Spirit’s strength and power, for Christ to dwell richly in our hearts, and for the fullness of God to overflow within us. Your prayer from Ephesians 3:14-20 is a beautiful declaration of our dependence on the Father and our longing to know the vast dimensions of Christ’s love. We join you in this sacred petition, for it is only through His Spirit that we are empowered to walk in faith, rooted and grounded in love.

Father in heaven, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with might through Your Spirit in the inner man. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, length, depth, and height of Your love, yes, to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge. Fill us with all the fullness of God, for You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

This prayer is a profound reminder that our strength does not come from ourselves but from the indwelling presence of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. It is a call to surrender fully to God’s will, allowing His love to transform us from the inside out. When we are weak, He is strong (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). When we feel inadequate, His grace is sufficient. When we struggle to comprehend His love, He reveals it to us through His Word and His Spirit.

Yet, we must also examine our hearts. Are we truly allowing Christ to dwell in us, or are we holding onto areas of our lives that resist His lordship? Are we rooted in love, or are we allowing bitterness, unforgiveness, or worldly desires to choke out the fruit of the Spirit? The apostle Paul warns us in Ephesians 4:30-32, "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." If there are areas where we are grieving the Spirit, we must repent and turn back to Him.

For those who may be struggling with sin, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, strife, jealousy, or any other work of the flesh, we are reminded in Galatians 5:16-17, "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please." The battle is real, but the victory is already won through Christ. We must crucify the flesh daily and walk in the Spirit, relying on His power to overcome temptation.

If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to do so with godly intentionality, remembering that marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Pursue a relationship that honors Him, where both individuals are committed to growing in faith and serving the Lord together. Flee from sexual immorality, for as 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

For those who are single, we pray that you would find contentment in Christ and use this season to deepen your relationship with Him. As 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 reminds us, "But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife. There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world, how she may please her husband. This I say for your own profit; not that I may ensnare you, but for what is appropriate, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction."

Lastly, we must address the foundational truth that none of this is possible apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for your sins and rose again so that you might have eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). As John 3:16 declares, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life."

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Let us continue to seek Him with all our hearts, trusting that He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

We join you gladly in this prayer, it has carried so many of us through ordinary days and the hardest stretches, and it never loses its life. When we bow our knees with Paul’s words, we aren’t just agreeing with a beautiful thought; we’re standing on the certainty that the Holy Spirit really does make the unknowable love of Christ a felt anchor. That’s the kind of strengthening that holds steady when circumstances shift.

Sometimes the richest way to live into this prayer is simply to pause in the middle of whatever we’re doing and whisper the heart of it back to the Lord: “Strengthen me in my inner being right now. Make Your love more real to me than what I can see.” It isn’t a one-time effort but a quiet returning, and over time the Spirit grounds us in a love that really does surpass knowledge yet becomes deeply familiar.

Lord Jesus, we ask together that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings. Dwell in our hearts through faith, and help us to grasp how wide and long and high and deep Your love is, love that surpasses knowledge. Fill us with all the fullness of God, and let that overflow into every part of our lives. We trust that You are able to do far more than we could ask or imagine. Amen.

You see that the prayer begins with the gracious petition that we may be strengthened, strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, according to the riches of His glory. The objective is that Christ may dwell in our hearts by faith. After Christ has dwelt in your heart, you shall know the love that passes knowledge, and after you know the love that passes knowledge, you shall be filled with all the fullness of God! Do not begin at the end, but take things according to God's order. I do not wonder to find my text saying, "And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God," for the love of the Lord Jesus is the most filling thing in existence! Once more, when the love of Christ comes to work upon the soul, when it brings with it all its choice treasures, then the mind of the Believer is filled with the fullness of God.

What is this love? You know your love to your child, it is but a feeble spark compared to the great sun of Christ's love to you! You know your love to your husband, it is a tiny rill compared with the ocean of Christ's love to His people! He rose with the same love. He ascended with the same love. He lives with the same love, pleading for us! He loves us now and He will come for us in love. Everything that God does to His people is all love; sometimes the love is a little disguised, but the love is always there! If He caresses, it is love. If He chastens, it is love. If He smiles, it is love.

And of that fullness? A fullness of comfort in affliction, a fullness of guidance in prosperity, a fullness of every Divine attribute, of wisdom, of power, of love. A fullness which it were impossible to survey, much less to explore. For of His fullness have all the saints received. He so loves each one of His people that if we are only willing to have it so, we may walk with Him, we may talk with Him and He will speak with us as a man speaks with his friend. Oh, if you do not, every day, commune with Christ, whose fault is it? Blessed be His dear name that He should ever have entered into such bonds of love as those with such poor creatures as we are!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have brought before us the very words of the blessed Paul, a prayer that stretches the soul beyond its measure. What you seek is not a small thing. You ask to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you may comprehend the incomprehensible dimensions of Christ’s love, and be filled with all the fullness of God. This is no ordinary petition; it is a request for the summit of the Christian life.

Now consider how the Apostle prays. He does not say that you will grasp these things by your own wisdom. He says you must be strengthened “with power through His Spirit.” For the love of Christ surpasses knowledge, as I have often told you. It is a vast ocean with no shore. How then can it be known? Only if Christ dwells in you. When He takes up residence in the heart, He reveals Himself. The Spirit illuminates what the mind cannot reach. As I have preached, the Spirit is not an inferior gift; He is the very finger of God, the power that casts out devils and transforms souls. Through Him, the inner eyes are opened to see the breadth and length and height and depth, the immensity of a love that enfolds all creation, that descended to the Cross, that raises us to heaven.

But mark this: the dwelling of Christ requires a heart rooted and grounded in love. You cannot welcome such a guest while clinging to sin. The Holy Spirit does not abide in a polluted temple. Therefore, strive together with me in prayer, as Paul urged the Romans. Wrestle with your own will. Put to death the carnal reasonings that war against faith. Let the love of God be shed abroad in your heart, not in a meager trickle, but in a torrent. For God does not give the Spirit by measure to those who seek Him. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, far beyond these words you have recited. He does not merely answer; He outruns desire.

Do not grow weary when the answer seems delayed. The Apostle bowed his knees for this very thing, and so must you. Press on, forgetting what lies behind, stretching forward to what lies ahead. The prize is nothing less than being filled with all the fullness of God. What is this fullness? It is to be perfected in every virtue, to be made a partaker of the divine nature, to know the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit not as distant concepts but as life itself. This is the true freedom, the only blessedness. Let not the pomp of this world deceive you; virtue alone can secure the soul.

Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

What a prayer to carry in your heart, drawn straight from the Spirit’s words in Ephesians. The longing to be strengthened with might through God’s Spirit in the inner man, to have Christ truly at home within you by faith, and to be rooted and grounded in love, that is not just a wish. It is the core of what it means to live the life we have been given in Jesus.

You need that strength daily. The enemy sets temptations and pressures against us that are far beyond our own resources. Without the Spirit’s power working inside, we cannot stand. And yet the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now gives life to everyone who trusts in Him. That is the power that works in us, giving us the ability to do what we could never do for ourselves, to say no to the deeds of the flesh, to walk in victory. It is not our grit, but His Spirit, mortifying those things and causing us to live.

And as He does that deep work, the unmistakable evidence is love. The fruit of the Spirit is love, a love that mirrors the very love of Christ. So many look for proofs of the Spirit in experiences or outward displays, but the real testimony is a growing, practical love for the family of God. The world knows nothing of this kind of love. It is agape love, born only in those whose spirits have been made alive by God. He that loves is born of God and knows God. As you yield to the Spirit’s filling, He perfects that love in you, making it less a discipline and more a delight to love as Christ loved.

This is why Paul prays that you might comprehend the width and length and depth and height of Christ’s love, a love that surpasses mere knowledge. You cannot grasp it with the natural mind. It is revealed by the Spirit who searches even the deep things of God. It was that love that led the Son to empty Himself and go to the cross for you. To know this love is to be filled with all the fullness of God. That sounds impossible; the heavens cannot contain Him, much less can we. Yet the God who can do exceedingly, abundantly above all you ask or think, according to the power that works in us, makes it real. He makes your body His temple, and by His Spirit, Christ dwells in your heart.

So when you pray these words, you are asking for the very thing the Spirit was sent to accomplish. He sanctifies us, strengthens us, and pours out the love of God within us. He bears witness that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. Nothing can separate you from that love. Walk in that assurance, and let the Spirit continue to build you up, joined together with all the saints, moving you toward that fullness in Christ. The church’s whole hope to reach this generation lies in that same empowering, not by human plans, but by the Spirit’s leading. May you experience this week the peace and joy of walking after the Spirit, knowing that the love of Christ constrains you and fills you.
