🙏 "We bow our knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, asking He would grant us, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power and might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in our hearts' through faith; that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints, what is the width and length and depth and height — to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen, Eph 3:14-20."

We come before the Father with hearts full of gratitude for this powerful passage from Ephesians 3:14-20, which you have so beautifully lifted up. This prayer is a profound declaration of our dependence on God’s strength, His boundless love, and the transformative power of His Spirit dwelling within us. It reminds us that our spiritual growth is not by our own might, but by the work of Christ in us, who is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think."

Father, we join our brother or sister in this prayer, asking that You would indeed strengthen each of us with power through Your Holy Spirit in our inner being. May Christ dwell richly in our hearts through faith, so that we may be rooted and grounded in love, love that is not superficial, but deep, sacrificial, and reflective of Your own heart. Help us to comprehend, with all the saints, the width, length, depth, and height of Christ’s love, which surpasses all human understanding. Let this love fill us to overflowing, so that we may be vessels of Your fullness, bringing glory to You in all we do.

Lord, we recognize that this prayer is not just for personal edification, but for the edification of the entire body of Christ. May Your church be a living testimony of Your power, love, and grace, shining brightly in a world that so desperately needs You. We ask that You would break every chain of doubt, fear, and unbelief that may hinder us from walking in the fullness of what You have for us. Let us not be content with mere knowledge of You, but let us experience the reality of Your presence, Your peace, and Your power in our daily lives.

We also rebuke any spirit of complacency or self-sufficiency that may try to creep into our hearts. Father, we confess that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). Forgive us for the times we have relied on our own strength or sought fulfillment in things that do not satisfy. Renew in us a hunger and thirst for righteousness, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God.

To Him who is able to do far more than we could ever imagine, according to the power at work within us, be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

May this prayer not just be words we speak, but a reality we live out. Let us encourage one another to press into God’s presence, to seek His face, and to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. For it is in Him that we find our strength, our purpose, and our hope. Let us hold fast to the truth that Christ’s love is unshakable, unchanging, and unending, and may that love compel us to live lives that honor Him in every way.

We’re joining you in that prayer right now, asking with you that we would all be strengthened in our inner being, rooted in love, and filled with God’s fullness. There is something both bold and quiet about those verses: they stretch toward everything God is, yet they start on our knees.

What helps us most when we long for that kind of depth is to remember that it usually grows day by day, not all at once. The Holy Spirit does sometimes break in with a sudden, marked moment of love or power, but the usual way He works is like a slow, steady river cutting a canyon. It’s easy to miss when we’re waiting for the waterfall. So we’ve found it helpful to simply sit with a passage like this one, reading it slowly over several days, maybe aloud, and letting the words shape our prayers rather than rushing to figure out how to apply them. That little habit anchors us when the feeling of nearness fluctuates.

We don’t need to manufacture strength or fullness; Christ already dwells in our hearts by faith. The prayer is really a request that we would comprehend what is already ours. That takes the pressure off, we aren’t climbing toward something far away, but opening our eyes to what is here.

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are able to do far more than we ask or imagine. For our friend who yearns for the power of the Spirit and a deeper knowing of Your love, quiet their heart. Give them a steady, quiet confidence that You are at work in their inner person, even when it feels ordinary. Root them and ground them in the love that holds everything together, and fill them with all the fullness of God over time, as they walk with You. Amen.

You have been kneeling over that passage in Ephesians, turning Paul’s prayer into your own, that great, impossible-sounding petition for strength in the inner man, for Christ to settle down and make His home in your heart, for a grasp of a love that stretches wider than the east is from the west and deeper than the oldest sea. Perhaps you feel the weight of your own smallness just now. The words may seem too high, the summit too bright for your dim eyes. But take heart. The very ache you feel for these things is already the Spirit’s finger drawing upon your heart.

You see, a ship in deep water does not turn itself. The helm must be moved by a steady hand, and here is your comfort: the Lord Himself lays His own hand on the heart that cries to Him. You have asked Him to direct you into the love of God, and you may be sure He will not steer you into the rocks. When you feel your own powerlessness to kindle love or summon fullness, you are in exactly the right posture. The Lord does not wait for you to climb up to Him, He stoops and gathers what is His. Do not despise the feebleness of your prayer, or the way your thoughts wander, or the sighs that seem so poor a worship. Think of it like this: when the Bridegroom comes to His garden, He does not cast aside the honeycomb because the wax clings to it. He takes the comb and the honey together, and it is all sweet to Him. Your broken desire is gathered up as a precious thing. He knows how to make a holy compound out of what you offer, even when it feels so common, so little.

Your longing to know the love of Christ is itself a love-token from Him. Did you ever notice how we love Him only because He first loved us? It is never the other way round. The spark in your heart was lit at His own altar. So do not fret yourself into thinking you must manufacture some great emotion. Look at Him. Fix your gaze on the Lover of your soul, and let His love take command.

Keep His Word near, but not as a task to be got through. Let it dwell in you, soak into you, as the dew into Gideon’s fleece, until the Truth of Christ is no longer something you visit but something that lives in the rooms of your soul. I have seen people read a novel on a steamboat with tears in their eyes because the story had truly entered them. Should it not be more so with the living Word of the living God? Let the Scriptures lie warm in your heart. Let them not merely pass by your door or look in at your window, but come in and sit down and stay. That is the path to the fullness you seek, the Word dwelling in you richly, in all wisdom.

And then, as you are drawn further, remember it is “Draw me, we will run after You.” Your own renewed heart may pull a whole company with it. Who knows what springs of grace will rise when you, being strengthened in the inner man, begin to run?

Now, to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Lord, direct this dear heart into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ. Root and ground them in that love which passes knowledge, and fill them with all the fullness of God, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer, rooted in the powerful words of Ephesians 3:14-20, and we count it a sacred privilege to have stood in agreement with you these past days. What a beautiful surrender—to bow our knees before the Father, asking Him to strengthen you with His Spirit, to deepen Christ’s dwelling in your heart, and to fill you with the fullness of God. We have joined you in praying for the Holy Spirit’s power to reveal the vast dimensions of Christ’s love—its width, length, depth, and height—so that you may be rooted, grounded, and transformed by it.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in ways visible or unseen, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Has He granted you a fresh revelation of His love? Has His Spirit strengthened your inner man in ways you can now perceive? If so, please share it with us so we may rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, the answer is not yet clear, or if you sense a need to press in further, we encourage you to post this request anew. We will continue to lift you up, believing with you that our God is able to do "exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think" according to the power at work within us. Let us not grow weary in seeking Him, for His timing and ways are perfect.

May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to draw you closer, filling you with His Spirit, deepening your knowledge of His love, and revealing His glory in your life. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and King. Amen.
