LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join with you in this earnest cry for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and hearts to the Scriptures, for we agree that it is God who opens our understanding that we might understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45 and that we are to live by every word that proceeds from His mouth. We love your hunger for Him to speak to us in every biblical way, through His Word as a lamp to our feet and a light for our path Psalm 119:105, through messages from the pulpit, through divine appointments for a man's steps are from Yahweh Proverbs 20:24, through godly counsel by the Spirit of counsel and might Isaiah 11:2, through the leading of the Holy Spirit for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God Romans 8:14, and through hearing the Shepherd's voice for My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27.

We also agree that God in His sovereignty can and does still speak in dreams and visions as He did with Joseph Matthew 1:20 and the wise men being warned in a dream Matthew 2:12 and as He warned Abimelech in a dream Genesis 20:3 and Laban Genesis 31:24 and Nebuchadnezzar Daniel 2:1, and as promised that afterward I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions Joel 2:28. Yet we gently remind ourselves together that all such impressions, dreams, visions and prophecies must be tested against the law and the testimony Isaiah 8:20, for to the law and to the testimony if they do not speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them. The written Word remains our final and sufficient authority, and we are to test the spirits whether they are of God 1 John 4:1, abiding in Him and His words abiding in us John 15:7 and abiding in His love John 15:10.

We stand with you, our brother, for yourself, for your wayward wife, for your children, family, extended family, prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches. We know the pain of a wayward spouse and we lift this marriage before the Lord, for marriage is holy in His sight, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9 and Yahweh says He hates divorce Malachi 2:16. Therefore we pray strongly for reconciliation and restoration rather than separation. If this waywardness has involved adultery or fornication, which is any sexual intimacy outside the covenant of marriage, or emotional abandonment or pursuit of another relationship, we must lovingly call it what God calls it, sin that needs repentance. For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality 1 Thessalonians 4:3 and let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We do not condone same sex relationships or any sexual sin, for all such is forbidden by God. We pray that both husband and wife would flee fornication and adultery and pursue purity and faithfulness.

We also exhort you as a husband to continue to love your wife even in her waywardness, as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25, not returning evil for evil but overcoming evil with good Romans 12:21, and we exhort any wife who has departed to return, for let not the wife depart from her husband, but if she departs, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband 1 Corinthians 7:10-11.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and no one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that He is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing he ever lives to make intercession for them Hebrews 7:25. We rest in the truth that with God all things are possible Mark 10:27 and nothing spoken by God is impossible Luke 1:37 and that light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it John 1:5.

So we pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come as little children asking for love from a pure heart and a sincere faith and a good conscience 1 Timothy 1:5. Open our eyes, open our understanding, and cause Your Word to abide richly in us. Speak to us, Father, by any ordinary and extraordinary means that aligns with Your Word. We ask that You would speak to this husband, to his wayward wife, to their children and family, to all their leaders and churches. Like Elihu said, for God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention, in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men Job 33:14-15, so we ask You to give warning dreams to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit Job 33:17-18. Pour out Your Spirit upon them Joel 2:28 and grant repentance that leads to life. Convict of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, draw the wayward heart home, heal what is broken, forgive what has been defiled, and restore this marriage to honor You.

Keep this husband abiding in You, faithful in prayer, walking in purity, guarding his own heart from temptation and from the evil one Matthew 6:13, for You are faithful, who will establish and guard us from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3. Keep this wife from further deception, from lies, from evil people and from the schemes of the evil one John 17:15, and grant her a godly sorrow that produces repentance 2 Corinthians 7:10. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7 as we make our requests known to You with thanksgiving Philippians 4:6. Grant to this family everything that pertains to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him 2 Peter 1:3.

We thank You in advance that You hear us when we ask according to Your will and that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we will receive Mark 11:24, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to You Hebrews 11:6 and all Your promises are Yes in Christ 2 Corinthians 1:20. We trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think Ephesians 3:20 and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted Job 42:2. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, our Amen and Faithful Witness Revelation 3:14, who lives to intercede for us. Amen.

We were so encouraged reading your prayer. Your desire to stay close to Jesus and to have His Word truly live in you, and to see that same work in your wife, your children, family and ministry partners, comes through so clearly. We join you in wanting to hear His voice well and walk faithfully.

One thing we have found helpful to remember is that learning to recognize the Shepherd's voice is more like training over time than a single moment. It grows as we keep abiding, staying steady in Scripture, in prayer, and in community, and as we humbly test what we sense we have heard with others who know us and know the Word. That keeps us from chasing every impression on our own and helps us stay grounded when life is noisy.

A simple next step that may serve you is to bring any strong impression, dream or word you receive to a couple of trusted, mature believers and weigh it together against what you already know of God's character and Word, asking together, does this draw us toward love, humility and obedience.

Father, we thank You for this family and for their hunger for You. Draw each of them closer to Jesus, give them clear understanding, guard them from confusion and keep them in Your peace. Help them hear You and follow You step by step. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and right desire that the Holy Spirit should open our eyes to understand the Scriptures, for as it is written, then opened He their understanding that they might understand the Scriptures. This is the blessed work of the Spirit of God, to take of the things of Christ and to show them unto us. He deals with the things of Christ. He glorifies Christ, and that teaching which does not glorify the Lord Jesus is not of the Holy Spirit.

You ask that He would speak to you by every means, by the Word abiding in you, by the faithful preaching of the Word, by counsel and by dreams and visions. Remember that the Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, and we are to speak according to the Law and to the Testimony. The special voice of the Holy Spirit still says, Today if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts. Therefore give earnest heed to the sure Word, for the Holy Spirit most ordinarily and most surely speaks to us there. He does not leave us to gadding about after trifles, but He receives of Christ and reveals Christ to the soul. Cry mightily unto God that you may not fail there, for without the Holy Spirit you utterly fail, and only when the Holy Spirit comes is there any life and force and power.

Take heed also that you grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed. He is grieved by our unbelief and by unholiness of life when we walk not according to the Gospel. The little narrow heart of man the Holy Spirit hath made His palace, though it be but a cottage and unclean, yet doth He condescend to make the heart of His people His continual abode. Do not vex Him, do not cause Him to mourn. And learn what it is to pray in the Holy Spirit, or by the Holy Spirit, which is to pray in His power, with faith which He authors and nurtures, believing the promises of God.

We join with you in prayer for yourself, for your wife who has wandered, for your children and family and extended family, for your partners in prayer and ministry, for church leaders and churches. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus, who ever liveth to make intercession for us and is able to save to the uttermost them that come unto God by Him, that He would pour out His Spirit upon you and grant you everything needful for life and godliness. May He awaken the understanding, turn the heart from wrongdoing and from pride, preserve from the pit, and keep you all from temptation and from the evil one. May He grant to the wayward a true turning unto Christ, for there is salvation in no other, and may He establish your home upon the holy covenant of marriage as God ordained, one man and one woman in lifelong faithfulness, with all purity and love from a pure heart and a blameless conscience and faith unfeigned.

We pray that you may abide in Christ and His words abide in you, that you may abide in His love and keep His commandments, and that you may know the Holy Spirit not as an influence called it, but as a Person dwelling in you, the source and force of your life, so that even your weakest endeavor may prosper as He pours His life into you. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit saith, and delay not to keep the commands of God.

May the Lord grant that you may not grieve the Holy Spirit, but may walk by the simple rule of Gods Book and by the light of Gods Spirit, looking unto Jesus, in whom all the promises are Yea and Amen.
