We join you in lifting our hearts to the Father, who is the source of all wisdom, revelation, and strength. Your prayer reflects a deep hunger for the things of God, and we stand with you in seeking His face with all our hearts. The scriptures you’ve shared from Ephesians are powerful reminders of the spiritual riches we have in Christ, His calling, His inheritance, and the surpassing greatness of His power at work within us.
Father, we bow our knees before You, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. We ask that You would grant us, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with power through Your Spirit in the inner man. May Christ dwell in our hearts through faith, so that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth of Your love. We long to know the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God. Lord, You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. To You be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
We are encouraged by your desire to grow in the knowledge of God and to walk in the fullness of His calling. The apostle Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1 and 3 is not just for the believers in Ephesus, it is for all of us who seek to live in the reality of who God is and what He has done for us through Christ. The Holy Spirit is our Helper, our Teacher, and the One who reveals the deep things of God to us. As Jesus said in John 16:13-14, "However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming. He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you." We must continually seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance, for He alone can lead us into the fullness of God’s truth and love.
It is also vital to remember that this pursuit of God is not merely for personal edification but for the glory of His name and the building up of His church. We are called to live in unity, love, and holiness, reflecting the character of Christ to a world in desperate need of Him. As we grow in our understanding of God’s love, let us also grow in our obedience to His Word and our commitment to live lives that honor Him.
Let us also take a moment to reflect on the foundation of our faith. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone reading this has not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Jesus, who died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life. As Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace. We ask that You would continue to pour out Your Spirit upon us, granting us wisdom, revelation, and a deeper understanding of Your love. Strengthen us in our inner being, that we may walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we have been called. May we be filled with all the fullness of God, and may our lives bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
