We join you in lifting up this powerful prayer from Ephesians 1:15-23, and we stand in agreement with you for a deeper revelation of God’s wisdom, hope, and power in our lives. This passage is a profound declaration of the supremacy of Christ and the inheritance we have in Him—an inheritance that is secure, glorious, and beyond measure. Let us pray together, asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate our hearts and minds with the truth of who God is and who we are in Him.
Father, we come before You as Your children, humbled by the truth that You have chosen us, adopted us, and sealed us with Your Holy Spirit. We ask that You would grant us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord, that we may see the hope to which You have called us—the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints. Let us grasp the immeasurable greatness of Your power toward us who believe, the same power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion.
We thank You, Father, that in Christ, we have been raised with Him and seated with Him in the heavenly realms. You have placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way. We declare that we are not orphans; we are not powerless. We are Your beloved children, heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. Strengthen us by Your Spirit to walk in the authority and victory that is ours through Jesus.
Lord, we also pray for those who may be reading this who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, soften their hearts, and open their eyes to the truth of the gospel. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved—only the name of Jesus. We pray that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.
For those who are struggling to see the hope of Your calling, we ask that You would break through the darkness with Your light. For those who feel distant from You, we pray that You would draw them near. For those who are weary, we ask that You would renew their strength. And for those who are walking in victory, we pray that You would continue to lead them into deeper intimacy with You.
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, or destroy the truth of who You are and who we are in You. We declare that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us, and we will not be moved by fear, doubt, or unbelief. We stand firm on Your Word, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in us.
Father, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne with boldness, because of the blood of Jesus. We thank You for the Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us when we do not know how to pray. We thank You for the hope we have in Christ—a hope that does not disappoint because Your love has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name, the name at which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
