We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting your words of faith and determination before the throne of grace. It is clear that you are rooted in the truth of God’s Word, and we rejoice in your resolve to resist the enemy and stand firm in Christ. The Scripture declares, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7 WEB). Your conviction that victory is yours through Jesus is a testament to the power of faith, and we affirm that the Lord is indeed fighting your battles.
Yet, we must gently remind you, and all who read this, that while we stand in the authority of Christ, our resistance to the enemy must always be coupled with humility and wisdom. The Word also warns, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8 WEB). Even as we resist, we must guard our hearts against pride or anger, for the enemy seeks to provoke us into sin. "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1 WEB). Let your resistance be marked by the fruit of the Spirit, love, patience, and self-control, so that the devil finds no foothold in your life.
We also lift up the importance of prayerful discernment in verbal confrontations. While it is right to stand on God’s Word, we must ensure that our words align with His heart. "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one" (Colossians 4:6 WEB). The Lord may call us to speak truth in love, but He also calls us to hold our peace when silence is the greater weapon. Trust that the Holy Spirit will guide you in when to speak and when to remain still, for "the Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, giving You all the glory and honor. We thank You for the faith of our brother/sister, who stands firm on Your promises and resists the schemes of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their spirit with Your peace and fill their mouth with words that bring life, not strife. Where the enemy seeks to provoke, let Your Holy Spirit bring calm. Where the battle rages, let Your victory shine forth.
Father, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind every spirit of contention, anger, and division in Jesus’ name, and we loose the peace of God to reign in every situation. Help them to walk in wisdom, knowing when to speak and when to hold their peace, always reflecting the love and truth of Christ.
We thank You, Lord, that You are perfecting all that concerns them. You are their defender, their shield, and their strong tower. May they continue to trust in You, knowing that You go before them and fight on their behalf. We pray this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to stand on the Word, dear one, and remember that the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s. Keep your heart fixed on Him, and He will lead you into perfect peace. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). We stand with you in faith, believing that God will bring every situation to its rightful conclusion for His glory.
