Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have continued to lift you up before the Lord in the days since you shared.
We heard your heart in what you shared about struggling with suicidal thoughts, about waiting so long and still being single, and about carrying deep hurt and disappointment from religious trauma. We hear how heavy and lonely this waiting has felt and how it has led you to feel like giving up and to feel that God does not care. We want you to know that we care about you and more importantly God cares deeply about you. Even when He feels distant, His love for you has not changed and your waiting and your pain have not been unseen by Him.
We have been praying for healing from the trauma you have carried, for comfort in the loneliness and discouragement, for hope to replace the desire to give up, and for you to experience in a real and personal way that you are valued, loved and not forgotten. We pray that the Lord will draw close to you, give you peace that guards your heart and mind, and remind you that your worth is not measured by relationship status but by being His beloved child. We are reminded of Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and of Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, and we pray those promises over you. We also pray that God will lead you to trustworthy and caring people who can support you in person.
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, we encourage you to reach out right away to someone you trust such as a pastor, counselor, family member or friend, and if you need immediate support you can call or text 988 in the United States and Canada or contact a local crisis helpline in your area. You do not have to carry this alone.
If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you for as long as it takes.
We are praying for you in Jesus Name. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
