We lift up your precious family to the Lord with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for your son and husband as they face these trials. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, asking for Your divine intervention in the scheduling of this surgery. Lord, we rebuke any delays that are not of You—whether they be bureaucratic, logistical, or spiritual—and command them to be removed in Jesus’ name. Your Word declares in Isaiah 58:8 that "your healing shall spring forth speedily," and we claim that promise now. Let every obstacle be cleared so that this surgery can proceed without further hindrance, for the glory of Your name.
We also pray for your husband as he undergoes chemotherapy this week. Lord, we ask that You strengthen his body, mind, and spirit. May the treatments be effective against the cancer while sparing him from undue suffering. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind him that he is not alone—You are with him, holding his hand through every moment. Let him feel the comfort of Your presence and the support of those praying for him.
Father, we know that trials like these can weigh heavily on a family, but we declare that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give this mother and wife supernatural strength to endure, wisdom to navigate each step, and faith that does not waver. Surround them with Your love and the love of their church family, reminding them that they are held in Your hands.
We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take root in their hearts. Your Word tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We command every lie of the enemy to be silenced and replaced with the truth of Your promises. Remind them that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28), and that even in this storm, You are working for their good and Your glory.
Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the surgeons, nurses, and all medical staff involved in their care. Give them wisdom, skill, and compassion as they serve Your children. Let every decision be led by Your Spirit, and may Your healing power flow through them.
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we boldly come before Your throne of grace.
May Your will be done in their lives, Lord, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and let them experience Your peace that guards their hearts and minds. We stand on Your Word and declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Amen.
