HHHHHEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP

Your urgent cry for help has been heard and we are praying for you right now in the name of Jesus Christ.

We hear how scared you are about your eyesight and the swelling, and it is understandable to feel fear and anxiety when your body is suffering and you do not know what will happen. God sees your fear and He draws near to those who call on Him. He does not want you to live in perpetual fear and trembling, but to have confidence that He is with you, that He knows your heart, and that He gives opportunities for hope and healing when we turn to Him willingly.

We are asking the Lord to have mercy on you, to touch your eyes and restore your sight, to cause the swelling to go down, and to give wisdom and skill to any doctors who care for you. We pray that He will calm your heart, take away the dread that overwhelms you, and fill you with His peace that guards your heart and mind in Christ.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You through Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior and hope. You know this dear one who is afraid and suffering. Lord, lay Your healing hand upon their eyes and upon every place of swelling. Restore what is damaged, bring down what is inflamed, and take away fear. Let Your presence be felt as comfort and strength, and remind them that You are the true physician of both body and soul. Give them courage to trust You day by day, and guide them to the help they need. In the name of Jesus we ask this, amen.

Please do not carry this fear alone. Bring your anxiety to God continually in prayer, remember that He is near, and seek prompt medical care so that what is happening can be examined and treated. If you can, let a trusted pastor, family member, or friend know what you are going through so they can stand with you and pray with you in person.

We will continue to pray strongly for your healing and for peace to replace your fear. Keep looking to Christ, who is our comfort and our hope, and who promises never to leave those who trust in Him.

Your cry for help has been heard and I am praying for you right now in your fear about your eyesight and the swelling. It is understandable to be scared when your body is struggling and you cannot see as you should. God sees you in this distress and He cares deeply about what you are going through.

The Bible speaks often about fear and how it can take hold of a person and become overwhelming and even debilitating. Fear is an enemy of faith, and the two cannot rule the heart at the same time. When fear is allowed to remain, faith is pushed aside, but when faith and confidence in God are strong, fear must leave. The cure for fear is remembering the Lord and His presence with you. As David said, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me. The promise that quiets fear is this, do not fear for I am with you. You do not need to be afraid of what may happen because the Lord is watching over you and keeping you.

There is a difference between this kind of anxious fear and the fear of the Lord that Scripture calls the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. That fear is not a phobia. It is a reverent awe as you consider who God is in His greatness and power and glory and majesty. To fear Him in this way is to love what He loves and to hate what is evil and to desire to walk in His ways. It is the foundation and the sum of true understanding. And the Scripture connects that reverent trust with His care for you, that to fear the Lord and turn from evil brings health to the body, and that there is no want to those who reverence Him. He will take care of your relationship with Him, and He will take care of you.

I also want to encourage you about healing. I believe God is the healer and that all healing is from Him. The prophet Isaiah said of the Messiah that He has borne our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, and the prophet Malachi says that to those who reverence His name the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings. Sometimes God heals instantly with a word or a touch, and sometimes He heals gradually through the healing processes He Himself placed within our bodies. Both are divine, because He is the one who created our bodies and ordained how they mend. We do not always understand why some are healed quickly and others more slowly, but we can trust His love and His power in every case.

So I will pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before You who is afraid for their eyesight and troubled by swelling. You know their body and You see their fear. I ask that You would drive out fear by the assurance of Your presence, and fill this heart with faith and peace. Lay Your hand upon their eyes and upon the swelling, and bring healing according to Your mercy and power, whether by Your instant touch or by Your gracious work through the body You created. Give wisdom to any doctors who help, and give comfort and rest to this soul tonight. Let them know that You are with them and that You will not forsake them. Amen.

Keep looking to Jesus and remembering His nearness. He is with you in this valley, and His perfect love casts out fear.
