We thank you for sharing your beautiful and faith filled request and we rejoice with you both over the sacred love God has planted between you. We are encouraged that you desire a marriage that is fully lawful, honorable, blessed and pleasing in His sight, both spiritually and legally. This is the heart God desires. For this cause a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife, and they will become one flesh Genesis 2:24 and what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. We affirm your desire to be united as husband and wife spiritually, emotionally and legally, and we strongly endorse your pursuit of holy marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.

As you walk in this courtship toward marriage, we exhort you both to continue to honor God with purity and self control. The time of engagement is a time to prepare your hearts and bodies for the marriage bed which God has reserved for marriage alone. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and let your love be kept pure until you are joined as husband and wife. We encourage you to set clear boundaries in your long distance relationship, to guard your hearts and bodies, and to pursue holiness so that your future marriage may begin without regret and with the full blessing of God. We also encourage you to ensure you are both believers in Jesus Christ and equally yoked together, for how can two walk together unless they are agreed 2 Corinthians 6:14, Amos 3:3.

We rejoice that you prayed in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Him that our prayers are heard and our sins forgiven.

We lift you both before the throne together.

Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ with grateful hearts for these two souls You have brought together. We thank You for writing their story, for every prayer whispered, every tear healed, every joy multiplied, and for Your faithful hand through distance and waiting. Lord, go before them and establish their footsteps in righteousness. Teach them to trust in You with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, and in all their ways acknowledge You so that You will direct their paths Proverbs 3:5-6.

We ask for Your healing hand upon their bodies. You have said I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26 and I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. Touch their legs and every place of pain and sickness, restore them fully, renew their strength so those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength Isaiah 40:31, and grant them health and energy as they prepare for marriage. We also lift up the beloved mother and both families, asking for Your comfort, strength, healing and unity upon them.

Lord, we bring their desire for children before You within the holy bounds of marriage, for children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward Psalm 127:3. We ask You to bless their reproductive health and fertility according to Your perfect will and timing, that in Your season You would grant them the gift of healthy children from her womb to be raised in a home built upon You. Grant them pure hearts, wisdom, discernment, patience, humility and self control as they prepare to become a godly husband and a godly wife.

Father, we ask for Your supernatural favor over every legal process, every document, every authority and every appointment required for their lawful union. Make every crooked path straight and open every door that must be opened according to Your perfect will. Grant them divine favor wherever their names are spoken, wisdom to act correctly, clarity to make wise decisions and perseverance to complete every step. We pray for Your protection over every journey as they travel to be reunited with family, that their gathering would be filled with Your peace, love, joy and holy presence. Let their future home be built upon You, with Your presence as its foundation, filled with peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7.

It is good to hear your prayer offered together with such gratitude and reverence, and to see how you trace the hand of the Lord in every step that has brought you to this hour. You do well to acknowledge that love, when it is pure and holy, is planted by God Himself and sustained by His grace, and that every good gift comes down from the Father of lights. That you desire a marriage which is lawful and honorable and pleasing in His sight, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as the Scriptures set forth, is itself an evidence of His gracious work in your hearts.

You ask for healing, and I would point you to that blessed conjunction which the prophet speaks of, where pardon and healing go together. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Christ forgives He also heals. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Come then to Him for the healing of your bodies, for the painful legs and every sickness, and for the healing of your souls, for apart from salvation through Jesus Christ alone there is no true health. Seek first His forgiveness and His indwelling, and trust that the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work in you till body and soul are made whole according to His perfect will.

I will pray with you and for you, that the Lord will go before you and make every crooked path straight. May He grant you health and strength, peace of mind and purity of heart, and clothe you with wisdom, patience, humility and self control as you prepare for holy marriage. May He keep you in all chastity and faithfulness, honoring Him with your bodies and your affections until that covenant is solemnly made, for the marriage bed is to be kept undefiled and love is to be rooted deeply in His Holy Spirit. May He watch over your bodies in His mercy, and according to His perfect will and timing, bless the fruit of the womb if it be His gracious purpose for your home, and give you entire trust in His divine plan whether He gives or withholds.

We give thanks with you for the love you describe and for the way you have seen God's hand guiding your steps from your first meeting to the day the ring was given and witnessed by your families. Marriage is a bond ordained by God, and Scripture teaches that marriage is honorable and pure. It is not holiness itself, but it preserves the holiness that comes through faith when it is lived in chaste and orderly love, with each remaining faithful to the other. It is good that you desire a marriage that is lawful, honorable and pleasing to God, both spiritually and legally, and that you seek to build a home that honors Him.

It is good to join you in thanking God for His hand in bringing your lives together and for the love you have for each other. God sees you both completely, nothing about you is hidden from Him, and He looks upon you with compassion and sympathetic understanding of your weaknesses and needs. He knows your hopes for marriage, your health concerns, your long distance waiting, and the legal steps that lie before you.

We also hear your earnest prayers for physical healing and for future children, and it is right to bring those needs to the Lord, for healing ultimately comes from His divine action and grace. Jesus went about doing good and healing all kinds of sickness, showing the Father's mercy and power. At the same time Scripture reminds us that the deepest need in every life is not physical wholeness but forgiveness of sin and salvation. People often focus on the healing of the body and overlook the healing of the soul, yet Jesus taught that it is better to enter life whole in Him than to have health without Him. So as we pray for your bodies, we pray even more that each of you has received and is resting in salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for that is by far the greatest need and the foundation for all other blessings.

Your desire for a marriage that is lawful, honorable and pleasing to God is a good desire. In Scripture marriage is presented as two becoming one, a compound unity where two lives are joined into one flesh. It is a covenant of one man and one woman for life, established by God. Jesus also taught that marriage belongs to this present life, for in the resurrection people neither marry nor are given in marriage. That helps us treasure marriage now as a holy calling to reflect His love, with fidelity, patience and purity until the vows are spoken and then faithfulness within that covenant. Sex and living together belong within that covenant alone, so we encourage you to continue to honor God with your bodies and choices during this engagement, rooted in integrity, self control and faithfulness.

We pray that the Lord will go before you and make the way clear. Human requirements, documents and decisions can feel like obstacles, and religious traditions in Jesus day sometimes added burdens beyond what God commanded, but God is not limited by human systems. He is able to open doors, grant favor, give wisdom and steady your steps according to His perfect will and timing. We ask Him to give you wisdom, discernment, patience and perseverance as you prepare, and to clothe you with humility, mercy and a quickness to forgive, loving each other as He has loved you.

For your health, we ask God in His compassion to restore strength and protect you from illness as He wills, and to give you peace as you wait on Him. For your future family, we ask Him to care for your bodies and to entrust children to you according to His good will and timing, with trust in His sovereignty over life.
