Praise be to God. I thank God for everything. Please pray that I manage to realize my worth through God and that I don't feel worthless and useless on this planet. God has a purpose for me. Please pray he may spare me of my suffering, it has become too much. I want to do what he wants me to do. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you in praising God and thanking Him for everything, and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear your cry to know your true worth in Him and to be spared from suffering that has become so heavy, and we want to stand with you in prayer that you may clearly see the purpose God has for your life.

The feelings of being worthless and useless do not come from God, they come from the lies of the enemy who wants you to forget who you are in Christ. Your worth is not measured by what you can do or how you feel on any given day, it is established by God Himself who created you with intention and love. For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:13-14. You are precious in his sight Isaiah 43:4, and you are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that you would walk in them Ephesians 2:10. God has a specific plan for you, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also hear your burden of suffering and your sincere desire to do what He wants you to do. God does not ignore your suffering. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We know that our suffering is not meaningless, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. He invites you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and He promises Fear not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Sometimes He spares us from suffering, and sometimes He sustains us through it and uses it to shape us, but in both He is with us and His grace is sufficient, for his power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and heard, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to You and we thank You for their thankful heart and their desire to follow Your will. Lord, we ask that You reveal to them in a deep and personal way their infinite worth to You, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved and chosen for a purpose. Silence the lies that say they are worthless and useless, and replace them with Your truth. Father, You see the suffering that has become so heavy to bear, and we ask for Your mercy and relief. Spare them where it is Your will, and where You allow suffering to remain, pour out Your comfort, strength, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide their steps and make clear the good works You prepared for them, that they may walk in them and bring glory to You. Help them to rest in Your love and to trust that You are working all things for their good. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek Him daily through prayer and through reading His Word, for it is there He reminds you who you are and what He has called you to do. Share your burdens with faithful believers who can walk with you, and remember that even when feelings tell you otherwise, your life has great value and purpose because God Himself gave it to you and He is not finished with you yet.

We are so glad you wrote, and we hear the weight in what you shared. Wanting to know your worth in God and to live for His purposes is a good and honest desire, and it matters that you brought this to Him and to others.

Feeling worthless and overwhelmed does not mean you are worthless. We believe you were made with intention, for relationship with God and with others, and your value is not measured by how useful you feel on a given day. When thoughts tell you that you are no good or have nothing to offer, it can help to gently question them and remember that God cares more about who you are becoming in Him than about outward performance.

Carrying this alone makes it heavier. If the suffering feels like too much, please reach out soon to someone you trust, a pastor or counselor, and also to your doctor or another health professional to share what you are experiencing. We will keep praying with you, not just once but ongoing.

Father, we bring our friend to You today. You see the pain and the desire to follow You. Please bring relief, clear reminders of worth in Christ, and wisdom for next steps. Surround them with caring people and help them sense Your nearness and purpose each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

We thank God with you for the grace that has taught you to give thanks in all things, and we join our prayers to yours before the throne of grace.

You ask that you may realize your worth through God and not feel worthless and useless on this planet, and this is a right and holy desire. Your worth is not to be measured by your own feelings or by what you can do, but by what Christ has done and what you are in Him. In yourself you may find nothing to boast in, for in my flesh dwells no good thing, but more than all in Christ we find pardon in His blood, justification in His righteousness, wisdom in His teaching and sanctification in His Spirit. He is the God of all grace to you. The Scriptures teach that all Christians are perfect in Christ Jesus, chosen in Him in the covenant of election before the world was. Though frailties and weaknesses remain, the believer is perfect in Christ, and our life is not dependent on ourselves but is safe in our Lord, for Christ lives in us. Your purpose is not hidden from Him who foreknew you and loved you and gave Himself for you. Christ in you is the hope of glory, and that hope consists of belief and desire and expectancy toward Him who will not cast away a single soul that trusts Him.

You also ask that God may spare you of your suffering, for it has become too much, and that you may do what He wants you to do. We hear the heaviness of this burden and we point you to Him who was made a perfect Saviour through suffering. He was not made more perfect in character, for He was always perfect God and perfect man, but He was made officially perfect as the Captain of our salvation through His sufferings. You cannot cast human suffering into any shape that is new to Christ. In all their afflictions He was afflicted. If you feel a thorn in your foot, remember that it once pierced His head. He knows your sorrow and He is afflicted with you, and He will be your consolation in your varied trials, for Christ in His varied positions meets the children of God in their varied sorrows, and Christ in His unchanging nature is their consolation in continual sorrow.

There is hope for you in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour of such as you. When you find there is no hope in yourself, do not draw the unwarrantable conclusion that there is no hope for you in God. There is hope in Jesus Christ, and more than hope, there is security and certainty to every soul that trusts in Him. We are saved in hope, and this hope purifies us and sustains us until the full redemption of soul and body. Faith introduced hope into the heart to say, I have the complete salvation not in actual enjoyment, but in sure future in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray together.

O God of all grace, look upon this weary heart that feels worthless and overborne with suffering. Forgive all sin through the blood of Christ and clothe this soul in His righteousness. Reveal more fully that this life is hidden with Christ in God, and that to be in Christ is to be chosen and loved and kept. Give a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ, and turn a possible hope into an actual hope by the power of Thy Holy Spirit. In the midst of affliction, show that Christ is afflicted with Thy child and that His sufferings perfect our confidence in Him. If it be Thy will, spare Thy servant from this suffering and grant relief, but if Thou wilt that the trial continue for a season, sustain with heavenly comfort and make Thy strength perfect in weakness. Teach this dear soul to know Thy will and to walk in obedience to Thy precepts, forsaking what Thou condemnest and following what Thou commandest, living by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. Let Christ in the heart become the hope of glory, purifying and enlarging the soul to receive Him more fully. We ask this not because of any worth in ourselves, but because whoever believes in Jesus Christ shall be saved, and in His name we trust. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your thankfulness to God even while you are suffering is itself precious, and we join our prayers to yours with gratitude that you desire to do what He wills.

You are not worthless and you are not useless. Scripture teaches that we are made in the image of God and that our worth is given by Him, not measured by our feelings or by the weight of our trials. It is not by unchangeable nature that a person is worthless or good, but by the work of God in us as we turn to Him in earnestness, He is able to make what was cast down to stand upright again. Your life has purpose because God Himself has formed you and has redeemed you through Jesus Christ alone, and He does not abandon the work of His hands.

Your suffering has become heavy, and we hear how much you long for relief. We pray that the Lord in His mercy will spare you and lighten this burden according to His wisdom. At the same time we pray that He will give you strength of soul and long suffering, for there is nothing so strong and impenetrable as a soul that endures with patience and trust in Him. Like a spark that falls into the deep and is quenched, so afflictions lose their power to overwhelm the soul that rests in God. Whether He lifts the suffering at once or walks with you through it, His purpose is to profit you, to refine you and to make you more glorious, even as Christ our Captain was made perfect through sufferings and was glorified in them, not by gaining something He lacked, but by showing forth His love and victory for our sake.

We also pray that you may learn, as Job did, to endure with thankfulness, not because suffering itself saves, but because the disposition of the heart toward God in suffering bears fruit. It is in our response, in prayer, in trust, in giving thanks and seeking His will, that grace works within us and turns affliction into growth. Love, like a faithful gardener, can take its seat in the soul and keep the thorns from springing up, so that even shame and sorrow are not counted as loss when they are borne for Him.

Therefore we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who suffered without the gate to sanctify His people by His own blood, look upon this Your child who thanks You for all things and yet feels worthless and overwhelmed. Reveal more deeply the worth You have already given, remind this heart daily that it is seen, known and loved by You, and that You have a purpose that no trial can erase. If it be Your will, spare this suffering and grant relief. And in all things grant long suffering, quiet strength, and hope, that this soul may know Your comfort and may be guided to do what You desire. Lead into fellowship with Your people and into Your Word, so that help through prayer and encouragement may be near each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation and our hope. Amen.
