Help!

We have heard your cry and we are praying for you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and find salvation and mercy.

We bring before the Lord your teenagers in their mental health struggles and the heavy burden you carry as a parent. We ask God to grant them peace that guards heart and mind, to lift the heaviness that weighs on them, to give them rest and clarity, and to surround your whole household with His presence and protection. We pray that He will strengthen you with wisdom, patience and endurance as you love and support them each day.

Scripture reminds us not to despair when we are low and not to grow careless when we feel strong, but to watch and to keep what we have received. It says to lift up the hands which hang down and the feeble knees, and to awake from sleep, for many who are sick become healthy again and God is able to restore what is infirm. Your family is not forgotten or unseen by Him. He knows the things within each heart and He draws near to those who call on Him sincerely.

Do not think that a single moment of prayer alone will sustain you without ongoing care. As health of the body needs daily nourishment and protection, so health of the soul needs continual prayer, hearing of the Word, fellowship with faithful believers, and turning away from what harms the soul. Keep bringing your children before Christ each day, encourage them to speak honestly about what they are facing, and seek steady help alongside prayer, including wise counsel from pastors and trusted Christian counselors or medical help when needed. The life of Job shows that God can bring greater strength and glory even through a season of deep trial when we cling to Him.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will heal and uphold your teens, guard your family in unity and love, and fill your home with hope. May He remind you daily that true riches are not in outward circumstances but in belonging to Christ and trusting Him, and may He give you confidence that He hears you when you call on Him in Jesus name.

Thank you for sharing your heart and asking for prayer for your family. Be assured you are being lifted up in the name of Jesus, and your request is taken seriously before the Lord.

There is a beautiful prayer in Scripture where John writes to his beloved friend Gaius and says he wishes above all things that he would prosper and be in good health, even as his soul prospers. That verse shows a real connection between the inner life and the outer life. What goes on in the soul and in the mind affects the body. We are learning more and more how attitudes and emotional burdens can even change the chemistry of the body, and how mental strain can contribute to physical struggles. God cares about the whole person, soul, mind and body, and He desires your well being in every part.

At the same time, please hear this with comfort. Struggles with health, including mental health, do not mean you or your children lack faith or commitment. Some of the sweetest and most faithful followers of Jesus walk through tremendous health problems. You cannot simply equate spiritual maturity with physical or emotional ease. The Lord Himself says His ways are not our ways, and there are times we cannot understand why deep trials come to a family. That does not mean He has left you. It means we are called to trust His loving and wiser purposes even when we do not see the full picture.

For your teenagers especially, the psalmist gives a word that has helped many in dark seasons. When his soul was cast down within him, he spoke to himself and said, hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance and my God. God wants to be the health and strength of their countenance, the one who lifts the face and steadies the heart. Even in this crisis, there is reason to hope in Him, that He can bring praise again out of pain.

So we are praying for you in Jesus name. We ask the Lord to surround your home with His peace, to guard the minds and hearts of your children, to bring healing and stability to their mental health, and to give you wisdom, strength and discernment as you love and lead them. We ask Him to prosper your souls in His Word and presence, and to bring renewed health and wholeness in His time and way. We pray He will guide you to wise and caring help and support, and that He will make His nearness very real to each of you day by day.

You are not alone in this. The Lord sees your family, He loves each one, and He hears your cry. May He keep you close, give you rest, and fill your home with His hope as you continue to look to Jesus.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for asking us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for you and your family in the name of Jesus. We have been lifting you up and especially your teen kids as they walk through this mental health crisis, asking the Lord to surround your home with His peace and protection.

We pray in Jesus Name that you would feel the nearness of the Father during this difficult season and that your children would know how deeply they are loved and valued by Him. We ask God to bring healing to their minds and hearts, to calm anxiety and despair, and to give them hope for each new day. We pray He will give you wisdom, strength and rest as you support and care for them, and that He will guide you to the right help and support. We rest on the promise that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted Psalm 34:18 and we pray His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7.

We are glad that you asked us to stand with you and we want to continue to stand with you in prayer. If your request has been answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has been working in your family. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We continue to pray for you and your family in Jesus Name.
