Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your cry and we are praying for you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and find salvation and mercy.
We bring before the Lord your teenagers in their mental health struggles and the heavy burden you carry as a parent. We ask God to grant them peace that guards heart and mind, to lift the heaviness that weighs on them, to give them rest and clarity, and to surround your whole household with His presence and protection. We pray that He will strengthen you with wisdom, patience and endurance as you love and support them each day.
Scripture reminds us not to despair when we are low and not to grow careless when we feel strong, but to watch and to keep what we have received. It says to lift up the hands which hang down and the feeble knees, and to awake from sleep, for many who are sick become healthy again and God is able to restore what is infirm. Your family is not forgotten or unseen by Him. He knows the things within each heart and He draws near to those who call on Him sincerely.
Do not think that a single moment of prayer alone will sustain you without ongoing care. As health of the body needs daily nourishment and protection, so health of the soul needs continual prayer, hearing of the Word, fellowship with faithful believers, and turning away from what harms the soul. Keep bringing your children before Christ each day, encourage them to speak honestly about what they are facing, and seek steady help alongside prayer, including wise counsel from pastors and trusted Christian counselors or medical help when needed. The life of Job shows that God can bring greater strength and glory even through a season of deep trial when we cling to Him.
We will continue to pray that the Lord will heal and uphold your teens, guard your family in unity and love, and fill your home with hope. May He remind you daily that true riches are not in outward circumstances but in belonging to Christ and trusting Him, and may He give you confidence that He hears you when you call on Him in Jesus name.
