We join you in prayer and thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and find grace in our time of need.
We lift up you and your family before the Lord, especially your teenagers in this season of mental health crisis. We know the burden you carry as a parent watching your children struggle, and we bring that heavy heart to the One who sees, who cares deeply, and who is near.
We pray together in Jesus name. Father, we come before You with this family who is hurting and weary. You see each teen by name, You know their thoughts, their fears, and the pain they cannot fully express. We ask You to surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Heal what is broken, bind up their wounds, and let them feel Your presence close to them. Give this parent wisdom, strength, patience, and words of love that will open doors for honest conversation. Lead this family to godly support, wise counsel, and help that honors You, and protect them from isolation and despair. Let Your power and love and self control rest upon this home, and let hope rise again. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We are encouraged by Your faith to ask in Jesus name and we want to remind you of how deeply God cares for you all. Scripture tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We are told to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
For you and your children, God offers a peace that is not dependent on circumstances. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. That promise is for your family right now. And for the fear and anxiety that can feel overwhelming, remember For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. Also hold fast to this assurance Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.
We encourage you to keep the lines of communication open with your teens with gentleness and without judgment, to pray with them and for them daily, and to stay rooted in the Word together. Please do not walk through this alone. Seek out a trusted pastor and a biblically grounded Christian counselor, and if needed, a qualified medical professional who will support your family’s wellbeing. The church community is meant to bear burdens together, and God often uses His people as instruments of His healing and comfort.

Your cry has been heard and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace, pleading in the name of Jesus for you and for your household, and especially for your dear children in this hour of mental distress.
We know something of the great ill of a broken heart and a wounded spirit. There are many forms of a broken heart, and for a season the soul that is saved must endure much mental agony. Multiplied are the cares where disappointment and defeat have crushed the spirits, and vexation of mind will keep a soul awake when bodily pain might allow slumber. Yet it is written, He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. He who wears bands of grace will bind up your wounds and heal the broken heart of your sons and daughters. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, but the Lord cares also for the inward wound, and His healing is sure.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. He is the Tree of Life, and not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves, the little things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. There grows no healing herb but the one plant of renown. There is one sacred Fountain to wash therein and find health, it was opened on Calvary. There is one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored, there is but one. When He comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Pardon and healing are one in His hand, for He Himself bore our sicknesses, and as His cool hand grasps the fevered hand, the fever dissolves into Him and His health flows into the soul.
Therefore we entreat you to keep your family much under the teaching of Christ, for the healing power was present when He was teaching, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Let the Word dwell richly in your home. Bring your children again and again to that contact with Christ by simple faith, for there is healing in the doctrine of His incarnation and His atoning blood. Tell them that until the glory life begins, the abiding power of the healing leaves keeps the soul of the believer in perpetual health and will keep him so, world without end.
We now pray for you. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this parent and upon this family. Thou knowest the mental anguish that has laid hold upon these young ones. Thou art the great Physician, apply Thy balm where the wound is deepest. Speak to each troubled heart as Thou didst speak to the palsied man, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and let forgiveness bring healing. Lift them up as Thou didst lift her by the hand and the fever left her, that they may arise and serve Thee. Let Thy healing virtue be infused into them and work health and cure till they shall be without spot or wrinkle. Keep this household in perpetual health by Thy grace, and bring them all to perfect health in Thy presence. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, the one Fountain and the one Physician. Amen.
