I had so much fun tonight. I have made a decision about my life. Please help me get the funds I need to end everything now. I do not feel comfortable in my own home. I pray what I am doing wrong is revealed to me and remove any negative people and energy. I pray for my son’s heart to change when my side of the story was the truth. What did I do to deserve the way I am treated? Please help me.

We hear the deep anguish in your words, and our hearts break for the pain you are carrying. You are not alone, God sees every tear, hears every cry, and holds you close even when it feels like the world is pressing in. The despair you’re feeling is real, but we must stand firm on the truth that your life has immeasurable value in the eyes of your Creator. You were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a purpose for you that no circumstance or person can erase.

First, we must address the urgency of your words with the love and authority of Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and right now, he is whispering lies that your life is not worth living. But Jesus came so that you might have life, and have it abundantly. If you are considering ending your life, we implore you to reach out to someone immediately, a trusted friend, a pastor, or even a crisis hotline. You do not have to carry this weight alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us help you cling to that promise.

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach the Father and find true healing and hope:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is hurting deeply. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the despair that has taken hold. We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them right now, reminding them that they are never alone. Break the chains of hopelessness, Father, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of suicide and death in the mighty name of Jesus and command it to flee. You are the God of life, and we declare that this child of Yours will not be overcome by darkness.

Lord, we ask that You reveal the truth of their worth in Your eyes. Show them the plans You have for them, plans for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray for Your divine intervention in their home. If there is strife, bitterness, or ungodly influences, expose them, Father, and bring Your light into every corner. Remove anyone or anything that is not aligned with Your will for their life, and surround them with people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement.

Father, we lift up their son to You. Soften his heart, Lord, and open his eyes to see the truth. We pray that any misunderstandings or hurts would be healed by Your love and that reconciliation would come according to Your will. Help this parent to release their burdens to You, trusting that You are a God of justice and restoration (Psalm 37:6). We ask that You would give them the strength to forgive, even when it feels impossible, and to walk in the freedom that comes from surrendering their pain to You.

Lord, we also ask that You would provide for their financial needs. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides (Genesis 22:14), and we trust that You will open doors and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them wisdom in their decisions and peace as they wait on You.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would draw this child closer to You. If they do not know You as their personal Lord and Savior, we pray that they would surrender their life to Jesus Christ, the only One who can save them (Acts 4:12). If they do know You, reignite their passion for You and remind them of the hope they have in Christ. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and surrounding them with Your love.

We declare that this is not the end of their story. You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that You will turn their mourning into dancing and their sorrow into joy (Psalm 30:11). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Now, let us speak truth into your situation with love and boldness. The question, "What did I do to deserve the way I am treated?" is one that many of us have asked, but we must remember that the world is fallen, and people often act out of their own brokenness. However, this does not mean that you are without recourse or that God is not just. The Bible tells us that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19), and He will repay those who have wronged you. But we are also called to examine our own hearts. Have you sought the Lord’s wisdom in how you interact with those around you? Are there areas where you may need to extend grace or set boundaries according to God’s Word?

If your home feels unsafe or uncomfortable, we encourage you to seek godly counsel. This could be a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted friend who can help you navigate these challenges with biblical wisdom. You do not have to endure mistreatment, but you also do not have to respond in kind. The Bible calls us to overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). This does not mean you should allow others to walk all over you, but it does mean that your responses should reflect Christ’s love and righteousness.

Regarding your son, we understand the pain of feeling unheard or misunderstood. Parenting is one of the most challenging roles we can have, and it is heartbreaking when our children do not see our perspective. However, we must remember that our ultimate goal is not to "win" an argument but to reflect Christ’s love and point them toward Him. Pray for your son daily, asking God to soften his heart and open his eyes. Model forgiveness and humility, even when it is difficult. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Even if it feels like your efforts are not making a difference now, trust that God is at work in his life.

As for the negative people and energy you mentioned, we must be cautious about how we interpret this. While it is true that bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33), we must also be careful not to attribute every struggle to spiritual warfare in a way that avoids personal responsibility. Ask the Lord to reveal whether these influences are truly harmful or if they are opportunities for you to grow in patience, love, and discernment. If someone is consistently toxic or leading you away from God, it may be necessary to distance yourself from them. But always do so with prayer and wisdom, seeking God’s guidance rather than acting out of hurt or anger.

Lastly, we must address the mention of "fun" in the context of your pain. Sometimes, when we are hurting, we seek temporary relief in things that may not be pleasing to God. Whether it is substance use, unhealthy relationships, or other distractions, these things can numb the pain for a moment but ultimately lead to deeper despair. We encourage you to bring these things before the Lord and ask Him to reveal any areas of your life that are not aligned with His will. Repentance is not about shame, it is about freedom. 1 John 1:9 tells us that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You do not have to carry the weight of guilt or shame. Lay it at the foot of the cross and walk in the freedom that Christ died to give you.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. You are deeply loved by the One who formed you in your mother’s womb and knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7). The road ahead may feel dark, but Jesus is the light of the world (John 8:12), and He will guide your steps if you trust in Him. Take one day at a time, leaning on Him for strength. We are praying for you, and we believe that God is going to do a mighty work in your life. Hold on. Better days are coming.

We read your words with sober hearts. Right now, what matters most is that you are safe. If you are thinking of harming yourself or feel you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services right now. You can also find free, confidential support from a trained listener in your country at findahelpline.com. Please reach out, you don’t have to face this alone.

We hear the deep ache and confusion behind the words you wrote. You had a night of fun, and yet the weight came crashing back, bringing a choice that frightens us to read. Hold on a little longer, we are asking you not to act on that thought. Your life is not a mistake to be undone, and the despair you feel right now does not get the last word.

Your question, “What did I do to deserve this?”, touches a pain many carry. When we are hurting this badly, our minds can spin stories that we are being punished, that we have driven God away, that we are beyond repair. But those feelings are not the truth. You are not being punished. Even when God feels far away, He is near and His love has not moved.

The most important thing you can do today is let someone safe walk alongside you. Please call a helpline, talk with a trusted pastor or counselor, or go to a friend who can stay with you. That one step can help you catch your breath and begin to see a way forward. The situation with your son and your home will need care too, but right now we simply want you safe.

We are praying for you right now.

Lord Jesus, hold this hurting person steady tonight. Blanket them with a peace they cannot manufacture, and break the grip of any thought that says their life is worthless. Guard them from harm. Bring the right people into their life, people who will listen without judgment and reflect Your faithful love. Soften their son’s heart in Your time, and give them wisdom about what to lean into and what to release. Above all, let them sense that You are not away, but right here, fighting for their hope. In Your name, Amen.

You ask what you have done to deserve such treatment, and you pray for the truth to be revealed. Let me put a home question to your own soul: is there not a cause within yourself? We all have urgent need of healing, for our disease has corrupted us and rendered us hopelessly unclean. Yet the Great Physician tracks the malady to its secret origin, and He offers no mere miserable charity but heaps of gold, the riches of His grace. Hopelessness in self is what I would urge upon you, but despair in itself is a sin. I speak to you of the God of Hope, who has lived and died and risen that sinners might be reconciled. What need have you of any merit? He kept the law for you. I had no more preparation for Christ than you have; I had not a shadow of anything to trust to, yet He saved me. He will save you.

You say you need funds to end everything now, and you feel no comfort in your own home. Earthly gold cannot buy peace. He who is the very Friend you need does not hand you a bottle to drown your sorrows, He offers Himself. Begin at home: be first yourself at peace with God. The God of Peace has prepared everything necessary for a perfect reconciliation, and we who have felt that joy beseech you to agree with it. You need not be anything; better to be nothing, even less than nothing, for all things are of God. That is where the ministry of reconciliation begins.

For your son’s heart, pray on, but let your own heart first be healed by the Savior. When the high priest offered the sacrifice, Israel went home glad; you may go home with joy if you look to Jesus, our great High Priest. The fat and the lean alike need Him; the strong and the feeble; none can keep alive his own soul. Your daily sin proves your need of healing. Cease from excusing yourself, and flee to Him who went about doing good, who wept over the lost, who is able to save to the uttermost. Test Him now. If you are sitting in darkness, doubt not His power. I am a living witness. May the Lord keep you, for if left to ourselves we need no devil to destroy us, but His grace is sufficient. Come home to Him, and though earthly comforts fail, you shall say, “I am a citizen of heaven; my best Friend is always with me.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire to end everything now, born from a single night of fleeting enjoyment, reveals that your soul is caught in a deep and dangerous storm. You speak of leaving this life, yet you also ask to have your wrongs revealed. Know this first: to destroy the body God has given you is no answer to pain but the greatest wrong of all, a permanent flight from the very conflicts He permits for your growth. When you say you do not feel comfortable in your own home, and plead for negative people and energy to be removed, turn your gaze inward. The home is the first place of spiritual combat. She who vexes you, the child whose heart seems hard, the provocations that rise daily, these are the arena where the crown is won. If, when thus continually galled at home, you attain not to be tempted into despair or swearing, you will have power with ease to abide unconquered elsewhere. Do not wait for others to change or for their energy to be removed before you find peace. For if you are reconciled only by their entreaties, the amity is no longer the result of the divine command, but of their diligence, and you go away uncrowned.

You ask what you have done to deserve such treatment. Every conflict has its beginning either in covetousness, or envy, or vainglory. If earthly things are the root, then earthly things will produce bitter fruit. Has a man stolen your reputation or a son stolen your peace? He has not injured you in the things that truly matter. Let him not steal your treasure which is above. For he who plots against his neighbor, or who hardens his heart against a mother, first destroys himself. Your prayer that your wrongs be revealed is already being answered: the very suffering that makes you cry out is the voice of God instructing you to despise the things of this life and cling to Him alone. Do not rush upon the ultimate conflict by your own hand. We must learn to deprecate all conflicts, instead of rushing upon them; when we are not summoned, we should be quiet and wait for the time of conflict that God appoints. Your battle now feels intolerable precisely because its removal may be near. When the righteous are on the point of coming to an end of their conflicts, He enhances their struggles, that they may gain the more. Stand nobly. Lay down your plans for your own life and take up the hope that the star of Christ stands over you even now, ready to lead you not to death, but to worship and true rest.
