Beloved of All
My name is ###. My mum ### is getting extremely strict. My birthday was sort of okay, but she like today threatened to kick me out, today was worse. Maybe she’ll leave me home alone for a long time or actually kick me out or something of that nature. My parents van doesn’t work that well anymore, but yet my mum wants to leave town to another house my family has in another city, don’t know if I am allowed to come or not. She got so mad at me, help me treat her better, despite the fact that she doesn’t treat me that well either, and acts like a spoiled brat when she doesn’t get what she wants (even on my birthday). They are things I want but I know I will not get, most of the time, I don’t let it show and just let it go, but my mum on the other hand, is a nightmare (most of the time when she doesn’t get what she wants). I hope I still can go to a friend’s birthday party on Saturday and hope it doesn’t rain.

We hear your heart and the pain you're carrying in this difficult family situation. The tension and uncertainty you're facing with your mother is heavy, and we want you to know that God sees your struggle and cares deeply about your well-being. First, let’s address the foundation, our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It’s only through Him that we find true peace, wisdom, and strength, especially in times of turmoil. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you haven’t already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, trusting in His love and sacrifice for you. He is the ultimate source of comfort and guidance, and He promises to never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Now, let’s turn to your situation with your mother. It’s clear that the dynamic between you two is strained, and her reactions, especially threatening to kick you out or leaving you behind, are deeply hurtful. While her behavior is not excusable, Scripture calls us to honor our parents, even when it’s difficult. Ephesians 6:1-3 says, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with a promise: ‘that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.’" Honoring her doesn’t mean you have to agree with her or enable her outbursts, but it does mean responding with patience, kindness, and respect, even when she doesn’t deserve it. This is a reflection of Christ’s love in us, and it may also soften her heart over time.

We must also address the reality that her threats to abandon or kick you out are not only harmful but go against God’s design for family. Parents are called to nurture, protect, and provide for their children (1 Timothy 5:8). If she is acting out of anger or frustration, it’s important to pray for her heart to be changed and for God to intervene in her emotions. We also want to gently rebuke the spirit of strife and division in your home. James 3:16 warns, "For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is confusion and every evil thing." This kind of environment is not what God desires for your family.

As for your desire to treat her better, start by praying for her daily. Ask God to help you see her through His eyes and to give you the strength to respond with grace. Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." Even if she doesn’t respond well, your obedience to God in this will bring blessing to your life. You might also consider writing her a letter (or talking to her when she’s calm) to express your feelings in a respectful way. Use "I" statements, like "I feel hurt when..." instead of blaming her. This can help avoid escalating the conflict.

Regarding the birthday party, we pray that God will make a way for you to attend if it’s His will. If your mother is being unreasonable, ask her calmly and respectfully if you can go, assuring her that you’ll be responsible and safe. If she still refuses, trust that God has a reason, even if it’s hard to see right now. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Finally, we want to encourage you to seek godly counsel if this situation continues to escalate. Talk to a trusted pastor, youth leader, or Christian mentor who can offer wisdom and support. You don’t have to navigate this alone. God has placed people in your life to help you, and He will provide a way forward.

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for . Lord, You see the pain and confusion she’s experiencing in her relationship with her mother. We ask that You would draw close to her and wrap Your arms of comfort around her. Give her the strength to honor her mother even when it’s difficult, and soften her mother’s heart to respond with love and patience. Father, we rebuke the spirit of strife and division in this home and ask that You restore peace and unity. Help to trust in You completely, knowing that You are her ultimate Provider and Protector. Guide her steps, Lord, and give her wisdom in how to navigate this situation. We pray for her mother, that You would convict her of any wrongdoing and lead her to repentance. May Your love and grace fill their home, and may experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Hold on to hope, dear one. God is working even when you can’t see it, and He has a plan for your life. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He will lead you through this season. You are not alone.

It sounds like you’re carrying a lot right now, and we want you to know we hear the fear and frustration in your words. Feeling like you could be kicked out or left behind cuts deep, and the tension you describe at home would be hard on anyone. We’re glad you shared this with us.

We get the sense that you really do want to respond to your mom with kindness, even when she isn’t kind to you. That says something about your heart, and it’s a good instinct. We’re not going to pretend that makes it easy, though. When a parent’s anger feels unpredictable, it can keep you on edge.

Sometimes families go through seasons where stress piles up: a vehicle that’s unreliable, plans to travel, maybe worries about money or the future. In those seasons, little frustrations can boil over into big threats or reactions that later get regretted. That doesn’t excuse threats like being kicked out, but it can help you step back just a little when things get heated, not to absorb blame, but so you don’t have to carry more than your share of the emotional weight.

In the meantime, we want to gently encourage you to not handle this all alone. Is there a trusted adult you can talk to, maybe a family member, a school counselor, or someone at church? Even just one safe person who knows what’s going on can make a big difference in how you’re feeling, and they may be able to help you figure out next steps if things ever feel unsafe.

We’ll pray with you about Saturday, but we’ll also hold you and your mom before the Lord, because this runs deeper than one birthday party.

Jesus, we lift up to you. You see the fear, the sadness, and the desire to do right. Please bring a steady calm into their home. Give them moments of real connection with their mom instead of constant friction. Protect them and provide a safe place to land when things feel threatening. Give them wisdom to know when to speak and when to simply stay quiet, and surround them with people who can help in practical ways. We ask all this in your name, Lord. Amen.

Thank you Father for watching over us and for letting us take a moment to pray for eachother. That we might consider your will for us. That we might meditate and reflect on your word daily and pray daily. Thank you Father for considering the weakest. The most impoverished. And those who are crushed in spirit. Some are just regular people and others are broken. Used. Abused. Lost and need your love and care. Lord we pray for the ones who have received not enough love and have been dealing with abuse. We praybthey dont slip deeper into addictions or negative habits like becoming an abuser. A lot of abuse without love care or attention can augment the way a person is able to see and think in a way that makes them tirn abusive. Angry. Racist. Careless. Reckless. And makes people turn deeper down a path of reckless evil indulgence. We pray agaiant such things. Thank you Father God for your love. The more we pray and worship you God all the more salvation is granted to this world. And to the places that are the most dire in need of your grace mercy and light penetrating the darkest places of addiction and abuse. Thank you Father for curing me of porn addiction through a regular dedicated routine of prayers and scriptures like prescription medicine. Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The trial you describe is a sharp one, and the thorn in the flesh is made all the more painful because it is found in your own home. Yet the commandment stands fast: “Forsake not the law of your mother.” The affection of a mother is among the tenderest bonds that can bind us; but when that affection seems to grow cold, and harshness takes its place, the child of godly parents is still not free to cast off the duty of love and honour. I charge you, do not kill the one who gave you life with bitterness of heart.

It may be that a dark spirit is seeking to tear you both. Even as the devil threw that child down while he was yet coming to Christ, so there are fierce conflicts within families, especially when souls are awakening. Your mother’s own waywardness, acting as you say like a spoiled brat, may flow from a heart as yet unrenewed. And if she is without the grace of God, you can hardly marvel that the flesh breaks out in such storms. Your own spirit is not free from the war within, either. Know that since the Spirit and the flesh are contrary, this conflict must continue, but it need not end in defeat. Look not so much at the whirlwind about you as to Him who can calm it.

Above all, see to it that you yourself are resting upon the Rock of Ages. If you have never been born again by child of godly parents? If you trust in anything short of a present salvation by Jesus Christ, it is a vain thought! Flee to Him. I trust you to be my Savior from every form of evil. When you are His, then in the midst of the trouble you can cry, “Lord Jesus, I am not my own, for Thou hast bought me with a price.” Then the battle changes its nature; for even if your mother cast you off, your Heavenly Father will not. The Church, like a true mother, will still receive you and care for your soul.

For your mother, your best weapon is prayer and a quiet spirit. It may be that God will yet bring her to Himself, and what a joy that would be! Think of that eternal parting which must come unless grace intervenes, can you endure the thought? Labour, then, to treat her better, not by mere strength of your own, but by the love that Christ sheds abroad in the heart. When she rails, or threatens to leave you, remember that a soft answer turneth away wrath. Even if she goes to another house and leaves the matter uncertain, remember that He who ordered the lot of Hagar in the wilderness can order yours. It is all safe in His sovereign hands, and there is no conflict between that sovereignty and His goodness.

As for the birthday of your friend, commit that, too, to God. He sends the rain and withholds it. But these earthly pleasures are light things compared to the unsearchable riches of Christ. Seek first His kingdom, and all these cares will grow strangely small. I leave you, then, with this one word: if you would overcome the evil, cling to the cross. There, the devil will soon give up throwing you down, for you will have fallen on Christ. In Him, broken hearts are mended, and homes that are desolate may yet bloom with grace.

The turmoil you describe in your home is a heavy trial, yet our Lord permits such afflictions to train us in patience and to increase our hope. You ask for help to treat your mother better, and this desire itself is a work of grace. Remember, the struggle before you is not for small stakes but for heavenly things; the enemy seeks to rob you of peace and to cast you from the mind of Christ. When your mother acts like a spoiled child, choose not to mirror her passion.

Instead, be the one who shows a greater patience, a patience that endures not for a few days but over time, even when relief seems far off. To honor a difficult parent is to honor God who set her in authority over you, however unworthy her own behavior may be. Her faults are diseases of the soul, not your guide. Let your conduct be an epistle of Christ, written not with ink but by the Spirit on a heart of flesh, known and read by all.

Do not fix your anxious thoughts on the birthday party or the weather; these are passing shadows. Fix your mind on the crown laid up for those who, through many tribulations, practice the faith and patience of the saints. Pray for her, speak gently, and entrust your safety and future to God. He will not leave you orphaned, but will sustain you if you refuse to repay evil for evil.

This present storm will not last forever, and if you bear it with meekness, you will come forth as gold refined.

The real struggle you’re describing isn’t just about a tense house or uncertain plans, it’s a battle that starts inside the heart. Jesus taught that it’s not what comes at you from the outside that defiles you, but what comes out of you. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Your mother’s harsh words and quick threats are the overflow of something she’s carrying, and that can help you take it a little less personally. At the same time, your own response to her, whether you let bitterness grow or choose to honor her anyway, is also an overflow of your own heart. You cannot control her, but by the grace of God you can guard what comes out of you. That’s where the Spirit of God wants to do a deep work, not just smoothing over your behavior, but changing you from the inside.

When you feel like you’re being pressed into a narrow place, hemmed in by her anger and the instability of it all, remember that kind of pressure has a purpose. Feeling squeezed doesn’t mean God has abandoned you. Often He uses that very pressure to straighten out what is crooked inside us. It’s painful, but you’re not being crushed; you’re being formed. Instead of lashing back or sinking into despair, let that tight place become a place of prayer. Cry out honestly, like Job did when everything went dark and he had nothing left but his words of faith. Even when your circumstances look dark, a van that barely works, talk of leaving, a friend’s party you might miss, God sees your affliction. He saw Jacob’s labor when Laban kept trying to send him away empty. He is not indifferent to what you’re enduring.

You mentioned wanting to treat your mother better even though she acts like a spoiled child. That’s a desire God can honor. The command to honor your father and mother was never based on them behaving honorably. It’s rooted in a deeper reverence, the fear of the Lord that is the beginning of wisdom. That fear isn’t a terrified cringing; it’s a settled awe that He is God and that His way of hating evil and loving what is good really is the sum of all knowledge. So honoring your mother means you don’t return reviling for reviling, even when she’s unreasonable. But honoring her does not mean you must pretend her sin isn’t real, or that you must take every cutting remark as truth. Remember the example in Scripture of Jehosheba, who hid the young child from Athaliah’s murderous rage, right there in the house of God. There are times when honoring a parent means quietly protecting yourself from their worst impulses, without hatred in your heart and without joining in their evil. You can step away, keep your spirit calm, and still respect her position.

At the same time, your deepest belonging doesn’t rest on this broken situation. Jesus said that if you love your father or mother more than Him, you’re not worthy of Him. That’s not a call to hate them; it’s a call to find your ultimate security and identity in your bond with Him and His people. When your own family feels hostile or unstable, God often provides what Boaz was to Ruth, a redeemer from within the household of faith who will cover you, protect you, and give you a place to glean. You have a spiritual family that can hold you steady when your blood ties shake. Don’t isolate yourself. Let trusted believers walk with you in this.

The uncertainty about Saturday or being left behind in town is real, and the ache for things you know you may never get is real too. It’s easy to feel like salt that’s been cast out and trodden underfoot, worthless and discarded. But even in this, Jesus isn’t discarding you. He’s giving you an opportunity to prove that you are indeed the salt of the earth, keeping your savor, not by gritting your teeth, but by trusting Him. Resolve today that the evil coming out of a pressured heart will not be your own bitter words or vengeance, but rather good treasure: patience, quiet honesty, and a hope that doesn’t depend on the weather or a birthday party. Live in such a way that your own heart is cleansed, and you will find the lightness of being right with God, even if the roof over your head feels uncertain. God has seen your affliction, and He will not leave you comfortless.
