Silas
Beloved of All
It is no small trial you are enduring. False accusations that strip away your livelihood, the weight of loss pressing on your heart and mind, and the ache of watching your own household waver in faith, this is a fierce spiritual assault. The enemy has always used lies and sudden losses to break the saints, but you are not without hope. The Lord sees the truth, and He is not indifferent.
Remember the apostle Paul, dragged before rulers by accusers who brought no real witnesses. Their charges were empty, meant to crush him, yet his eyes stayed on the Lord who is the righteous Judge. Your reputation is hidden with Christ. Men may speak falsely for a season, but God will vindicate in His time.
I do not want you to overlook the deep connection between the prosperity of your soul and the health of your body and mind. The beloved apostle wrote to a dear brother, praying that his physical well-being would mirror the health of his soul. When the soul is anchored in Jesus, when it feeds on His truth rather than on fear, the whole person begins to stabilize. Guard your inner life. Do not let the lies of the accuser poison your thoughts, for that will show itself in your body. Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you.
In dark hours, false voices multiply. They slip in with words that sound almost right and offer an easy peace. But just as in the days of old, some cry "peace, peace" when there is no peace. Any promise that skirts the need for a soul to bow before Christ alone is a false hope. Test every spirit. The enemy mixes much truth with a little deadly error, and even your loved ones may be drawn to things that speak winsomely but quietly deny the deity of Jesus or His power to save. That is the sort of thing to pray against earnestly.
Do not let the loss of income drive you into panic. God is not in financial crisis. He has never once faced bankruptcy. The early believers, though they knew poverty, gave generously because they trusted a living Provider. He knows what your family needs. Beware of any voice, whether from within or without, that tries to push you into bondage by making money the central promise of deliverance. The Good Shepherd does not exploit His sheep; He lays down His life for them.
Your care for your wife and children is right and holy, for the one who neglects his own household has denied the faith. Yet you cannot manufacture their faith. Your steady endurance, refusing to curse God in this storm, is a sermon they will not soon forget. Keep loving them, keep living the truth, and keep entrusting them to the One who breaks through the hardest hearts.
A breakthrough is coming, not necessarily in a single moment of worldly relief, but in the deep work of God that makes the soul unshakable. The true prophet was often ridiculed while the false one was cheered, yet the Lord alone had the final word. Let this trial press you closer to Jesus Christ, the One who was falsely accused, who lost everything, who entered death itself, and who rose victorious. There is your breakthrough.
I am praying with you for that very thing: for His love to hold you, His grace to sustain you, and His will to bring deliverance in your finances, your mind, your heart, and your home. May your wife and children see Jesus clearly in you, and may the whole household stand together on the unshakeable Rock.
