Silas
Beloved of All
Your cry reaches heaven, and God is not deaf to the desperate heart. I think of those like Hannah, so full of bitterness that her lips moved without a sound, yet the Lord saw the agony and answered her silence. The chaos you hear, the shouting you want stopped, can feel like an enemy pressing in, but the same God who shuts wombs and opens them is able to bring calm to a troubled house and a restless soul. Instead of panic, pour out your heart in a quiet trust, not demanding but surrendering. Before the words are formed, He often dispatches the answer, as when the servant saw Rebekah coming before he finished speaking. Yet His ways may take unexpected turns: He allures some into a wilderness to speak comfort, and a time of stripping away can bring true healing.
Do not let your fear turn into harshness or a quick fix that humiliates. Love the one you are bringing before the Lord, and remember that Jesus loves her as a bridegroom, faithfully, patiently. Keep praying, but let your own heart grow still. Ask not only for quiet, but for His righteous work in her life and in your own. If the path includes suffering, entrust it to Him who remembers every tear and promises that no adversary will ultimately prosper against those who hope in Him. The God who can silence a storm with a word is able to bring her home quietly, and to keep her in peace for His glory.
