Dear Father. Dear Jesus. I know how the person who requested prayer feels. I don’t know what it is he/she has done, but I know it’s sin.
Sin is our plague Dear Lord. But because our Father in Heaven loved us so much, He sent You Jesus to come and save us, to die for our sins on the cross. In Your death Jesus, You sacrificed yourself so that we can be save and it’s that grace that You saved us, not by what we do. We are gracious and thankful. In three days our Father in Heaven raised You from the dead and now death has no sting, the grave has no sting- we have eternal life through You Jesus. Thank You.
Though, we struggle dear Lord. We are sinners. Paul talks about this very thing Lord. (Romans 7:15-20) He says We do what we hate(sin) and not what we want to do. He continues: As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out…..
What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?
Jesus, You will rescue us. Help them Lord and all faith grow in You Jesus.
Lord, I suffer in the same way- so the person requesting the prayer realizes we are all fighting this warfare, the flesh versus our spirit. Have mercy on him/her and give them strength and endurance. Help them Lord as You know their struggles. Renew their mind and spirit each day. Forgive them Dear Jesus and wash them clean. Let the Holy Spirit fill them and Lord guide them. I pray that they repent and know that You love them Jesus.
