We are truly sorry to hear that you are experiencing abuse and rejection simply because of your hairstyle. It's important to remember that God looks at the heart, and He loves you just as you are.
Long hair is not immoral or wrong. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15 WEB states, Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him? But if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given to her for a covering. There is nothing immoral about long hair on a woman.
As for others comparing long hair to embracing behaviors that God has called sin, such as homosexuality, this comparison is not biblical. In Leviticus 18:22 WEB, "You shall not lie with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable." and repeated in Leviticus 20:13 "If a man lies with a male, as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Other sins such as 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB, Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom.
In that regard, we should also address your statement for others to change. While it's important to pray for others, we must also remember that we cannot force anyone to change.
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
You see the pain and rejection that our dear sister is experiencing. We pray that You would comfort her and remind her of her true identity in You. Help her to stand firm and be bold in the face of adversity. We pray for those who are mistreating her, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth. Help them to see that the real problem is their heart and how they treat others. Turn their hearts towards you, Jesus. Help her to forgive them as you forgive us.
We ask that You would provide her with a community of believers who will accept and love her as You do. Guide her path. Open doors for her to be surrounded by other Christians that will encourage her to grow in her faith. Help her to stay strong and wise in her walk with you.
Help her to stay focused on you, Jesus, and to always remember your plan for her life. You have called her according to Your purpose, and You will bring it to pass.
And it is by the name of Jesus that we pray.
Amen.
