We join you in lifting up your son ### before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing for every aspect of his life. It is beautiful to see your faith as you bring this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive the promises of God. As Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your acknowledgment of Jesus in this request is a testament to your faith, and we rejoice with you in the assurance that our prayers are heard when we come in His name.
The burden of depression is heavy, and we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10, WEB). But we stand firm on the truth that *"the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let us pray that ### will experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Depression often stems from a sense of hopelessness, but we know that our hope is found in Christ alone. May ### be reminded that his worth and identity are rooted in being a child of God, created for a purpose (Ephesians 2:10, WEB).
As for the job he has applied for, we pray that God’s will be done. While we ask for favor in this opportunity, we also surrender it to the Lord, trusting that His plans for ### are good, *"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). If this job aligns with God’s purpose for his life, we pray that the doors will open wide. But if there is something better, we ask that the Lord will redirect his steps and provide clarity. Let ### walk in the confidence that *"his God will be with him and will not fail him or forsake him"* (1 Chronicles 28:20, WEB).
We also encourage you to continue covering ### in prayer, speaking life and truth over him. Remind him to *"cast all his anxieties on God, because he cares for him"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). If he is not already immersed in Scripture and fellowship with other believers, encourage him to draw near to God, for *"the joy of the Lord is his strength"* (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). Sometimes depression can be a call to draw closer to the Lord, to surrender areas of our lives we’ve been holding back, or to seek healing from past wounds. Let this season be one of renewal for ###, where he experiences the Lord’s presence in a deeper way.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the gift of ###’s life. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your peace, a peace that transcends all understanding. Lift the heaviness of depression from his shoulders and replace it with the lightness of Your joy. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that You have a plan for his life that is good.
We pray for the job opportunity he has applied for today. If it is Your will, Lord, open the doors wide and grant him favor in the eyes of those making the decision. But above all, we ask that Your will be done in his life. Guide his steps, Lord, and lead him into the path You have prepared for him. Give him wisdom to recognize Your voice and the courage to follow where You lead.
We rebuke the spirit of depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that ### is not defined by his circumstances but by his identity in Christ. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and renew his mind with Your truth. Let him find his strength in You alone.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your love for ###. May he experience a fresh outpouring of Your grace and mercy today. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
