We hear the heaviness in your heart and we stand with you and your friend and your family before the throne of grace, for we know this battle you are describing is real and it is spiritual.
You have discerned rightly that what is coming against you is not merely people or circumstances. As it is written, our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph 6:12. The enemy's greatest tactic is to overwhelm you, to isolate you, to push you away from prayer and from fellowship, and to make you feel abandoned and that you no longer belong. That feeling of being pushed away from church and left without anyone to pray with is exactly how the adversary works, for your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Pet 5:8. But we want to remind you that a feeling is not the truth. The truth is that God has not pushed you away, He has not lost you, and He will not let you be snatched from His hand.
We also want to gently and lovingly point out something important in your prayer. You cried out to the Lord in Heaven and to God, which we honor, but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to encourage you with the truth that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. When we pray in the name of Jesus, we come under His authority and His blood which has already defeated the darkness you feel around you. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Rom 10:9-10. It is by that name we pray for you now.
We rebuke the lie that you are alone, vulnerable, and forgotten, and we rebuke the work of the enemy that has brought illness, misfortune, bullying, ostracization and abandonment against your family. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper and that when you submit to God and resist the devil, he will flee from you. James 4:7. The Lord promises that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Ps 91:1. You are not vulnerable when you are dwelling with Him, even when you feel overwhelmed.
We also encourage you not to give up on gathering with God's people. We know you have been hurt and feel you no longer belong, but God's design is for us to not forsake our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another. Heb 10:25. The church is not a perfect building or a single congregation that may have failed you, it is the body of Christ. Ask the Lord to lead you to a Bible believing fellowship where the Word is taught faithfully and where you can be shepherded and supported again. Even if you must start small, seek fellowship with even one or two other believers to pray with, for where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there.
You asked for a prayer to say morning and night to cast your enemies and their cares into His hands and to protect your family. We offer this prayer we can pray together with you, and you can make it your own each day in the mighty name of Jesus Christ:
We pray together, Father in Heaven, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that You see us, You hear us, and You have not lost us. Lord, we cast all our enemies, all those who have bullied and ostracized and abandoned us, and all our cares and troubles and illnesses into Your hands, for You care for us. 1 Pet 5:7. We put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Eph 6:11. Cover our family this morning and this night under the shadow of Your wings. Let Your angels encamp around us. Break the darkness that surrounds us with Your light, for the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it. John 1:5. Place Your people in the right places in our community, in our churches and schools and whole community, that we may be surrounded by godly counsel and true fellowship and be able to serve You again. Draw us close to You, Lord, keep us in Your presence, which is all we desire for ourselves and our family. Remind us daily that nothing can separate us from Your love. Rom 8:38-39. We resist the enemy in Jesus name and command every spirit of oppression and isolation to flee. Fill us with Your peace and give us a new song of prayer on our lips morning and night. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We are continuing to pray for you, for your friend who is also being hindered from praying, and for your whole family. Set aside a quiet time each morning and each night, even if just for a few minutes, to read a Psalm and to pray this prayer aloud in Jesus name. Keep a notebook of what you are praying for and how God answers. Do not let the enemy steal your voice. Your prayers are powerful and effective, and God delights to hear them. He is faithful, and He will restore what has felt taken from you and place you again where you belong, in His presence and among His people.
