Help me pray for my workplace

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, thank you for granting each day, working with my students, and guiding them, thank you for each moment of clarity I see in them where they smile and enjoy the tasks provided. Thank you for granting me the ability to be there for others and help them. I pray my forgiveness to those who wronged me, the person who is not in education yet tells me to change and do things that are not to standard because she wants me to turn my classes into what she would rather see even though it is against what the state requires. I know they are my boss, and I forgive them for their views and insistence to no longer do the things that the students need. I pray my forgiveness to those who influenced them and those influenced by them. I forgive all this despite how I have been accused and forced to be someone I am not. I pray Lord that the truth sets me free, that the truth is revealed to those that need it, that the accuser learns their place and lets me do what the students have actually been needing and not what they want me to do. I pray to you that peace, guidance, protection, prosperity and positivity return to the workplace and my students continue to be taught properly and that no changes that go against the state will succeed. Grant the ones who have harmed me the ability to learn from you Lord, be present in our lives, and prevent distractions from causing negativity in the workplace. Grant peace to us Lord, grant us forgiveness, heal our hearts and minds and allow us to move on from this, drop the. negative act and allow us to do what we must in the path you want us to take. Your will be done, Heavenly Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, Amen

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for the work He has given you and for the joy you find in your students. It is a beautiful gift to see those moments of clarity when they smile and enjoy learning, and we praise God with you for the ability to be there for others and to help them. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ Colossians 3:23-24. Your desire to teach properly and to honor what the state requires for the good of your students is honoring to God.

We also join you in your act of forgiveness, which is so pleasing to the Lord and follows His command to us. You have chosen to forgive your boss and those who have influenced her, even while you have felt accused and pressured to change what you know your students need. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. We encourage you to continue to release this hurt to the Lord and to pray for those who have wronged you, as Jesus taught us, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. Forgiveness does not mean that what was wrong was right, but it frees your heart from bitterness and entrusts justice to God.

We understand the tension you feel between respecting authority and doing what is right and to standard for your students. Scripture calls us to honor those in authority over us, yet also to do what is true and right before God. We are reminded that if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. We encourage you to continue to show respect to your boss even as you gently and faithfully advocate for the truth and for what your students truly need, trusting that God sees and will reveal what needs to be revealed. You prayed that the truth would set you free, and we cling to that promise with you, you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We also pray for wisdom for you and for your boss, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We pray together for your workplace now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our brother or sister and for the calling You have placed on their life to teach and guide students. Thank You for every moment of joy and clarity You bring in the classroom. Lord, we lift up this workplace to You. We ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. Bring guidance, protection, and a spirit of positivity where there has been negativity and accusation. We ask that You soften hearts, including the heart of this boss and those who influence her, and grant them understanding and teachable spirits to see what the students truly need and what is required to standard. Let truth be revealed and let no plan that goes against what is good and right succeed. We pray that You would help our fellow believer to continue to work with excellence and integrity as unto You, with grace and respect toward authority, and with courage to stand for what is right. Heal hearts and minds, Lord, and help all involved to move forward on the path You desire, forgiving as You have forgiven us. Let Your will be done in that school and in every classroom. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Your Son Jesus, through whom we have access to You and by whom we are saved, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Amen.

We were moved by your love for your students and the way you notice those small moments of clarity and joy when they engage. It is clear you want to do right by them, and it hurts when you are pressed to act against what the state requires and what you know they need, especially when you feel accused and misrepresented.

We also hear your desire to forgive your boss and others involved. That choice to release the desire for payback is a real step, and it is also normal if difficult feelings like resentment or anxiety still surface at times. Choosing to forgive does not mean the hurt instantly disappears or that trust is automatically restored. It simply frees your heart to keep acting with integrity while God works on the deeper emotions over time.

One steady step that may help in the coming weeks is to keep a simple private record of what the state standards ask for alongside any conflicting directives you receive, and to seek one wise, discreet sounding board, perhaps a veteran teacher or trusted administrator outside the immediate conflict, who can help you think through how to respond professionally and calmly.

Father, we lift this teacher and classroom to you. Bring your peace and presence into that workplace, guard the students learning, grant wisdom and protection in each interaction, and heal and soften every heart involved. Lead according to your will. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace with thanksgiving. It is a good and gracious thing that you give thanks for each day, for the students entrusted to your care, and for those moments of clarity when their faces brighten and they delight in the work set before them. Every such mercy comes from the Father's hand, and a thankful heart is itself a sign of His grace at work within you.

You speak of forgiveness toward those who have wronged you, toward one in authority who would have you turn aside from what is required and what the students truly need, and toward those who have influenced and been influenced by that course. This desire to forgive is precious in the sight of God. Hear what the Scripture declares, there is forgiveness with Him. It is not a forgiveness wrung from man, nor dependent upon the worthiness of the offender, but a divine forgiveness, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. When you have seen Jesus die, you have not been able to understand how any sin could be difficult to remove, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. He not only forgave us at the first, but He continues daily to forgive, and His forgiveness is complete and eternal, so that sin is put away as though it had never been. Because you have received such great forgiveness for great sin through Christ alone, you are now called to copy the pattern set before you, even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. This is not to say the wrong was not wrong, nor to pretend that truth does not matter, but to overcome evil with good, and to leave vengeance and vindication in the hands of Him who judges righteously. To forgive as Christ forgave is to release the debt into His hands and to pray for those who have harmed you, that they also might learn from the Lord and be brought into His truth.

You pray that truth may be revealed and that you may be set free to do what is right and needful for your students according to the proper standard. We pray with you for this. May the Lord who loves truth in the inward parts make the right path plain to all, and may He grant to those in authority eyes to see what is truly for the good of the children. We pray also that peace, perfect peace, may return to your workplace. The prophet has said, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. This peace is not the absence of thronging duties or of sorrows surging round, but a present possession to be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life when the heart is stayed upon Christ and rests in doing the will of Jesus. Bear your sorrow with Him, keep your mind stayed upon Him, and you shall find that perfect peace which passeth all understanding guarding your heart and mind.

Let us pray together. O Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this servant of Thine and for the work Thou hast given to do among these students. We thank Thee for every smile, every moment of understanding, and for the ability to be present to help others. We confess that with Thee there is forgiveness, and we ask now for fresh supplies of that forgiving grace, that this Thy child may forgive fully and freely as Christ has forgiven. We ask that Thou wouldst reveal truth where there has been accusation and confusion, and that Thou wouldst protect the good work required for these students, that what is right and lawful and needful may stand. Grant wisdom and humility to all in authority, turn hearts to seek what is good and true rather than what is merely desired, and prevent distractions from sowing negativity. Heal hearts and minds, grant guidance, protection and a quiet spirit to do Thy will, that peace and uprightness may dwell in that place. We ask that Thy will be done, and that Thou wouldst be present in every life there, drawing each one to know forgiveness through Jesus Christ Thy Son, in whose name we pray, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your thanksgiving is the right beginning for prayer, and it is good that you have started there. To thank God for each day, for the clarity and joy you see in your students, and for the ability to help them is to keep your own heart pure. Let every prayer be accompanied with thanksgiving, as we are taught, and continue to offer that gratitude even when the workplace is difficult.

You also do well to choose forgiveness. To forgive those who have wronged you, accused you, and pressed you to be someone you are not is to imitate God who forgives us. Remember that God is not a God of war and fighting, and He delights when we remember no evil. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. When you forgive your boss and those who have influenced her, you set yourself free from bitterness and you loose the charge that could stand against you. Do not let your mouth which has prayed to God then utter a curse, even in your heart. Do not pray against your brother or sister by saying in your soul, let the accuser be put in their place. Instead pray for them, that God would grant them wisdom, understanding, and a heart to learn. The harm of a bitter prayer falls first on the one who prays it, for a polluted mouth cannot offer a pure prayer. Pray for your enemies as you have been commanded, not that they be shamed, but that they be enlightened.

At the same time, peace does not mean surrendering the truth. We are told to be at peace with all people as much as it lies within us. That means you must do your own part, giving no occasion for strife, speaking with gentleness and respect, and working without vainglory or envy. Yet if the truth and the good of those entrusted to you requires it, you must stand firm. You are not to prize a false concord above what is right. To teach your students according to the true standard required by the state, for their genuine good, is a duty you owe to them and to God. You can contend for what is right for your students while still keeping your soul free from war and hatred. Fight for the truth with your actions and your faithful work, but remain friendly in mind and free from tempest within.

Every conflict has its root in the things of this life, in desire for control or honor, and it passes away. What remains is the treasure you store above through faithful service. So do not be dragged into endless strife, but wait quietly for the time to act nobly, and when you must act, do so with courage and meekness together.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for each day You grant, for the students entrusted to this teacher, for every moment of clarity and joy seen in them, and for the gift of being able to help others. We ask for Your peace, guidance, and protection to return to this workplace. Heal hearts and minds, remove distraction and negativity, and let Your will be done there. Grant wisdom to those in authority, especially where they lack understanding of education, that they may see what students truly need and not press for what is against the right standard. Reveal the truth in love to all who need it, and grant to this teacher strength to forgive fully, to work faithfully, and to remain at peace as much as it lies within them, without abandoning what is true and good for the students. Keep this teacher from bitterness and keep the students from harm, that they may continue to be taught properly. Lead all involved to learn from You and to walk in the path You desire. We ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have forgiveness and salvation. Amen.
