Help Me Please.

Dear God,

I am praying to you tonight because I am so lost. I have had a suspicion but now I know it to be true. The one I have been with for the last two years, the father of my baby, my best friend; I just confirmed he has been cheating on me for a long time. I was so angry I confronted him. He started beating me. I am only ### years old. I don't know what to do. I am jobless and rely on him to pay apt bills. I can't just leave. I am so lost and beyond hurt. I am behind in so many of my own (car) bills that it will probably be repossessed. God I know you won't put me through anything I can't handle but I'm really not sure what to do right now. I need so much help. I am in so much pain; physically and mentally. I wish someone would help me. I'm so scared, alone and trapped. Please God send me a sign. Send me someone to help me. Something. Anything. Please God.

Prayer is good, but there are times when we must look to family or friends to get us through rough times, and often for legal help. With resentment and anger, often it keeps us from using common sense. Often things happen, for a reason, hard to accept, but it is just a fact of life. One must look at a situation, and use sound judgment as to the causes of marital problems, often hidden problems that need to be addressed with respect to one another. It is with hope, you find the strength and courage to make the right choices. Let God be 'close by'...a friend may be closer than one may know...believe it.
